Brentwood Academy Boys Win Freshman City Meet

The BA Freshmen dominated the field in the City meet which

concluded today at MBA. BA ended the meet with 107 points

which was 32 points better than 2nd place (Ensworth) and 50

points better than third (MBA).

 

The remaining top 10 schools (in no particular order) were:

 

Antioch

Glencliff

Stratford

Hillwood

Father Ryan

FRA

McGavock

 

Other schools in attendance but not making the top ten were:

 

David Lipscomb

Hunters Lane

MLK

Hume Fogg

East Literature

Impressive showing by BA. Ensworth's 2d place finish is also worth noting, since they only have 38 or 39 boys in their 9th grade class. Also of note, in the 's Freshman CIty Meet at Harpeth Hall, with pretty much the same group of schools in the competition, Ensworth took 1st place, led by several wins by sprinter Chela Green, a real star of the future.

Ensworth had the top field event athlete. I believe

that his name is Roman Dent. This kid won the

high jump, long jump, second in the pole vault

and second in the 110 hurdles. He accounted for

1/2 of Ensworth's points.
