What's the big deal with Lincoln County?

We played Lincoln Co. three times. We beat them three times, but it wasn't easy any of those times. These girls just don't roll over and die, they play hard! Our games are always close and you know one mistake and they will beat you. If you play Lincoln County and discount their abilities you are toast.

 

One more thing, they have beaten Soddy Daisy and we haven't!

 

So, I consider Lincoln County one of the best teams in TN.

dscj, you need to get your fact straight before you start criticizing a team. Centennial hasnt played Lincoln county this year...the reason they are being mentioned is that they have beaten the best team in AAA this year twice, in soddy daisy, and have played some other bery good teams very close. Their pitcher is one of the best in the state, and anyone that knows anything about softball, if you have a dominate pitcher, you always have a chance...even if you dont have much hitting.

To set the record straight, Centennial did beat Lincoln Co twice this year in the preseason tournaments and once last season in the border battle. This doesn't make the Cougars the better team any more than Lincoln Co beating Soddy twice makes Lincoln Co the better team. On a given day, both teams can beat anyone in the state. That's what makes softball a great game. Good luck to both teams in the postseason! PS The last "dominate" pitcher in the state was Megan Rhodes. This years group is very good but all of them have been hit well more than once this season.
