I believe Red Bank has a very talented sophomore and freshman class, they have Jon Coppinger a middle infielder pretty good first step and soft hands great arm with a good bat with power and above average speed (plays summer ball with the Colonels.)then there is Alex Smith a middle infielder with a good first step and good arm and defensive plus at second base with some pop in his bat and very smart and patient at the plate and pitches, (plays summer ball with the cyclones.)they should make for a tight infield. then there is Josh Barrett (plays summer ball with the cougars.)a Left hand pitcher and first baseman that has a mean curve ball and Knuckle, Zack Moore at third base that has a whole lot of pop in his bat and with good speed and also pitches. (plays summer ball with the colonels.)also a transfer from Atlanta Jared Cantrell that has a lot of potential with his bat and last but not least Bubba Sells who was injured this year with shoulder problems but should contribute in the next few years. and then there are four freshmen 3 left handed pitchers that all played varsity this year. It should be an interesting next couple of years !!!!!

Columbia Academy has a sophmore catcher who has a great bat and is probably one of the best defensive catchers in the league. Also, he has a strong arm. He hit over 400 with 5 dingers.

The major plus for Dobyns-Bennett's sophmores is that there are a few outstanding ones that aren't even on Varsity this season. I would without thinking twice put them up as the best in the state. All most people see is the Varsity, but what u dont think about is that before this year all of them played on the same team. So when they get back together it will make them even tougher and harder to stop.......Roll Tribe

Elizabethton seems to have the same problem

Huntingdon's Cody Crocker has to be among this list. He's a error-free shortstop, good lead-off, and great top-notch pitcher for the mustangs. Started 3rd base for the state final-four mustangs last year, and also played quarterback for the state runner ups. Just an over-all athlete

Murner from Greeneville and Basile from Morristown are the two of the best soph's in East Tennessee this year. Both are similar in their skills as hitters and fielders. Not sure of their stats but that only tells you so much. Both look like D1 prospects.
