Most people will not agree with me but any of these teams could win. Middleton will be written off by most but they are very capable of winnig against JCS. The Fayette, adamsville game can go either way as well. Both will be very good games.

If you have a good pitcher and are playing a team that you know will not be able to pull the ball because of the pitcher you could move you fielders around. Don't try to judge a player you have never seen play.

I agree with this completely. This was not the best thing for Middleton and Fayette Academy. These schools don't have a district that makes them work hard, but the coaches schedule games that help their teams compete and prepare for tournament time and these schools may suprise some other teams. GO TIGERS

One of the best I've seen is Bryan Sutton on Middleton's team. He covers lots of ground and makes catches that lots of player would not get close to. He plays LF, CF, and RF depending on the team we are playing and who is pitching.

For a small town single A school Middleton has one of the best fields I've seen.

Thanks for the reply. How about old fields do they have to have a certain depth to foul lines and center? Also, how long has this been in effect.

Are there any rules that govern the length from home plate to the fence. We play on so many different size fields some are very short and others long.

Sorry P.A.Lin-Z I misunderstood what you were saying. I agree Middleton is a much improved team this year and will suprise some teams this year.

You want to use a summer league game to talk about how bad Middleton is. WE were paying mostly 8th and 9th grades. The team you played last summer was no way the team that is on the field this year. If you think that this team is going to be easy to beat you will be adding a number to your loss colum when you play them. They have improved from the team you saw last summer as well as adding a few players that had summer jobs and could not play summer ball. When we play you will see that Middleton will not be a push over. Everybody makes errors not just freshman.

How can you say that Middleton's hitting wasn't that good. I was at both of those games. Middleton's hitting would have been better if ashland's pitchers could throw a strike. I know that middleton scored 5 runsin the 3rd inning because everyone was walked. You can not hit pitches that are over your head or in the dirt. In the first game the leading hitters were 2-3 and 2-4 hitting. the second game the leading hitters were 3-3 and 2-3. Middleton hit the ball very well and will continue to improve. How can you call 20-0 in 3 and 19-1 in 5 close those look more like blowout scores instead of close games. Yes Ashland was not playing very good but don't put Middleton down because the team they played was not that good. Keep watching Middleton and you will see that we are alot better than what you saw last night.

It was a bad night by both teams. everyone seemed to be off. There is no way the score of this game should have been this low (47-46) if either team was playing up to their potential. Yes, it is water under the bridge and I wish UC the best in state.

The situation was after a missed foul shot the clock had 16.7 seconds. With 4.5 seconds time was called with the ball still in the back court. One ref blew the whistle for the 10 second violation just a short time before the time out was called. Why the time out was allowed is what I would like to know.

It's ok to celebrate a big win. Running out on the court is fine Injuring players during that celebration should not happen.

You are right about the ref's. they gave the game to UC. One ref called a 10 second violation before another ref blew his whistle for a UC timeout. They gave them the timeout. This is a very bad call.

I assume that you are from Union city, I agree that the refs they got worse as the game went along.

This was a good game, but the UC fans need to learn some control. After the game they jumped on and wrapped up the players hurting # 23 and 44. Some one let us know how they are. It didn't look very good to me.

Explain to me this topic about district 16 turned to talk about Adamsville and JCS. This district will be between Middleton and Fayette Academy.
