That game he seemed to be able to locate his fastball extremely well but his curve and split finger were not the best.  Most of our players saw 90% fastballs.  I saw 7 straight fastballs.  He held us to 7 hits and 2 runs in a complete game.  He did very well against a team who normally crushes the fastball.

you mean to tell me that very high 80's and low to mid 90's in high school ball doesnt make him a good pitcher? HA seemed to work all of last year including the championship of the state tournament and all of this year

sure a 90 mph fastball can dominate most high school teams but if thats all you have then it comes to a point where you are gonna stroked after about 1 inning.not taking anything away from "d train" , cause he is a quality pitcher. but having a good change and curve help out quite a bit.

The thing is he obviously had no great demand to use the other two pitches in this and similar games. If they can not hit a located fastball, why would you slow it down and give them a chance to accidentally hit it.

accidently hit it???? well i guess we accidently had 7 hits and you accidently had 5 even though you all won becuase we couldnt get the bunt down we stilll out hit u so i dont see how anyone from halls can say anything.. we couldve easily been in memphis also.
