You say that they will "hold their own" but are they really going to be that good in our league. You have to consider the fact that competition is much different in DI than it is in DII. Do you really think that Ravenwood will actually be better than teams like Webb and Farragut?

Considering that Ravenwood beat both Webb, Farragut, Father Ryan, USN, and Houston and their only DI loss was to MBA 7-5. Makes a strong case for their team. I doubt they will go to the finals but I do believe they deserve to be DI.

Bumping up to d1 could only help Ravenwood. Being able to play against the "3 M's" would just help them improve. Ravenwood is not going into division one with a mentality that they will beat every team... because right now they can't..theyre not experienced enough.. but Ravenwood is a very young team composed of mostly sophomores with only two graduating seniors this year. As for Ravenwood's d1 record this year 5-1... they were able to hold their own against a majority of d1 teams.

This year, Ravenwood only had a couple of D1 games to get REALLY pumped up for. Next year, we will be able to focus and fight hard for the W and will benefit more from playing classy teams such as the big 3 and other d1 teams on a regular basis. Thanks to such an awesome season from everyone and all the graduating this may

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
