Diaz is gone so who and where will the next good kicker come from ?

At White House Heritage we have Junior Rob Dorris. He was an all county kicker last year and won an award at the Ray Guy kicking camp this summer for kicking a 55 yard field goal in the rain.

hes about 6'0 and weighs only id say about 150 at the most. He has played soccer his whole life but whats new with kickers.

I also know that Jordan Moore from Hendersonville is a great kicker. He was kicking 50 yarders his freshamn year when I was there. It will be tough to live up to the great Wilhoit from HHS though.

Fairview should have a junior this year who has a range of 55+ as well...a little trouble with accuracy last year, but would think this would continue to improve with age/practice/experience, etc...

Justin Billingsley (Sycamore) is an awfully good kicker thumb

Howard "Grandaddy" Gamble has turned out a number of great kickers at Franklin High School. David Campbell is headed to UT to kick as well as David Defatta to Marshall both All-State last year. Colby Smith was named SBC All-Conference at MTSU.

 

This year it's John Bell. Some may remember his older brother Joe, from two years ago, known for his special teams skill at returning punts and kickoffs (6) six for touchdowns. John has waited patiently behind the two Davids but now is prepared to shine.

 

This week he put 8 of 10 kick offs in the end zone and was 4 of 5 at FG of 50 yards. HIs hang time on punts may be the best we've seen in some time.

 

Look for another great special teams effort this year from Franklin under Coach Ken Curtis

Hassan Abdulrahman from Clinton, made 4A preseason all-state according to the murphy fair magazine. great punter that's for sure

The McKenzie Rebels have senior John Kermit Laughrey. He's noted for his accuracy and his distance is in the 45-50 yard range as well. He is also a pressure kicker which is a plus. If the snap and hold are good, you can count on Laughrey.

 

Most teams in this area wish they had a kicker as good as he is. He's 5'11" @ 155lb. (last season!) and lives to kick!

Albert Sacchet and Taka Koyano from Maryville are very solid. I believ Sacchet was 74/77 in XP's last year, and Koyano put 42 kicks into the endzone.

Weston Peryy from Boyd Buchanan will be good and he will also be the quarterback.
