Pigeon Forge -vs- Gatlinburg-Pittman

Pigeon Forge barely escaped with a victory Friday against winless Rutledge, and Gatlinburg-Pittman steamrolled Chuckey-Doak. Pigeon Forge has never defeated Gatlinburg-Pittman in this heated cross-county rivalry. Does Pigeon Forge change its fortunes against the Highlanders this Friday, or does GP continue its domination of the Tigers?

I have watched both teams and Gatlinburg has all their hens in a row. They are a very well coached team and play hard. Watching Pigeon Forge on film they make a lot of mistakes i.e., (9 lost fumbles in two games), but...

Gatlinburg has no business on the field with them athletically. Pigeon Forge has many more athletes, and their Offense and Defensive line blow G-P's away. However...

This game will come down to one of two things:

Coaching or

Which team wants it worse.

This could either shape up to be a huge rivalry in the future.

I think its pretty sad that Gatlinburg has to play Varsity players on there JV team to make them feel better about themselves after last friday night. Good job GP beating our our freshman and few sophmores. Oh yeah, throwing the ball when its in the 4th quarter 40 - 0 !!!!!!!! Expect the same thing nexy year on the Varsity level, PF doesnt lose a starter off offense and only 3 on defense.

sounds typical! It is finally time the PF got a little respect. There are like the red headed step child in the county. Just because they are a few years old, as a school, doesn't mean they deserve the critisim they receive. Congrats to PF for spanking the Highlanders. Can't wait to see how GP recovers and tries to answer next year. PF had the better talent on the field on Friday. Way to go guys!

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts oh what a Christmas we would have! It is easy to make up excuses when you are losing. We Know we lost on Friday and there is no excuse. The only starter that was on JV was a defensive player but Qb on JV and he didnt take a snap on friday. See you next year.

    • Y’all boys can’t spell discipline. Probably lead the state in personal fouls last year. Being halfway disciplined in 1 game against Smith County in 3rd round doesn’t dismiss the rest of the season. “Shoulda” won the state championship but those mouths got the best of you yet again. Marion already had a lot more retuning than y’all this year. Adding these 2 D1 kids will 100% make a major impact. Marion will stand on business this year. They haven’t forgotten. I’m just keeping it real
    • MC upgraded with 2 studs. If they can’t get it done this year with a generational speed talent in Pickett then I’m not sure they ever will. Huge favorite in the East currently.    Multiple offers from FCS calls for gold.
    • no they will be tough for sure
    • Marion just jumped ER as the favorites in the East. Two big time transfers for y’all kinfolks. Bullseye has been set now. I said it the last two years it is time and both times y’all let me down. Can’t say you’re short on talent this year or that you’re young. Time to put up or shut up. Surely y’all can get over the hump this year. I’m just keeping it real
    • Should have won by 30 last year if we played discipline at the very least. May have got 2 dogs up front but remember we have the best DL in the state on our team. Also added a 6’6” 320lb O lineman.
