Don't cry about moving up a division or losing all of your Sr.'s ? When you can not even teach foundamentals!!! Young teams know the basic's, line up, block, etc.. You want to know where all of your athlete are, try watching a few kids just playing around. You want to know why they don't play? Well you could ask, them but I think they are more respectable than to tell you. But I'll say this, Bradley only has to keep a "losing" staff 2 years so why does WV have to have one 4 years? It sure wasn't the coaching staff for the last 2 yrs. It was the foundamentals they were taught in Middle school ball and this coach has never been given a chance to coach them at WV. WV"S football coach is right under their nose and they have to much pride to even give him a chance. Maybe they couldn't stand the fact they screwed up when the Charleston middle school coach wasn't even given a shot....

Last couple of years all Iv'e heard is how great Walker Valley Football has been. Go to their school website and the first thing you see when you click on football is "HOME OF THE TWO TIME DEFENDING REGION CHAMPIONS". Well here's a reality check. You loose a few games in a row and your ready to buck you coach. Personally I would be worrying about your band taking over the football program. I know thats a crazy statement but the band says the only reason you have football is for the band to have a place to play. And they are very good.

Coaching is not your only problem. Parents for the most part have a bad attitude at WV too. They need to back off and let the coaches do their job.

RBHITMAN21, I guess you play for RB and you "would" think they are a great team ;);)

But I think they are the most embarrassing "thing" I've ever watched! Too bad the band has to play at football games or I wouldn't have to watch them. It is kinda sad to get the fans to stay for the entire game the band plays after the games also, this keeps the crowd around :P

Are you serious??? Walker Valley is a joke. When McMinn Central upset them last year is when the beginning of the end started for Walker Valley. And Walker Valley should not have even repeated, they just did so by luck in a region with 5 teams. Now Walker Valley plays real teams. Why didn't ya play the Chargers this year Mustangs??? Do I since a little bit of fear???

Do you have an idea what you are talking about? WV does not have a losing staff? They have won their region several years in a row. They were 7-3 last year alone. I hardly believe that is a losing season. Have patience man! When you lose the players it takes time to rebuild. WV's freshman team beat Redbank yesterday soundly. Losing that many seniors and moving up in a conference takes time. My advice to you is to get a clue! It's not like they are loosing to scrubs.......White County, Tyner, and Red Bank are all VERY good teams! Youth is the only downfall to Walker Valley!

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
