Bowl Games

Do these even exist any more. Independence will not qualify for one this year but these used to be pretty good. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Upperman hosted a doubleheader last year, it was a fun experience.

I would like to see an Anderson Co. vs Campbell Co. bowl game. That is if AC doesn't make the playoff's. The gate from that game would be huge, the schools could split it 50/50.

bowl games would be great for teams that don't make the playoffs but have them as in region games like the two teams that don't make the playoffs in each region play a bowl game or like a team from 4-5A and a team from 3-5A that didn't make the playoffs so they could have one more game

I like the concept ....particularly if TSSAA can keep their hands out of the til. A tribute to the seniors, an opportunity to showcase the bands and cheer leaders.

 

The "jamboree" concept seems to have died because coaches don't want kids to get hurt before the season begins and because they don't want to show their offensive scheme.

 

So take the Saturday after the BCBS and have the teams in Williamson County play a round robin jamboree with a tribute to the coaches, seniors, sponsors ...whatever

I wish The tssaa would bring back the bowl games I remember the tobacco bowl in trousdale co. would bring giagantic crowds from all over Tenn. and macon had the industrial bowl another huge crowd draw.even with today playoff system the bowl games would give a lot of teams a second chance to play another game and generate revenue for a lot of schools that really need the extra monies.
