Why don't you go back and post on the band thread and no its not a sport. If you took time to watch the Giles vs Page JV game you already know the GC program is waaaaaaay ahead of Page. But I fully understand as to why your living for the future and putting our current success down....cuz your sittin at home early this playoff season ....AGAIN! (Please no disrespect to Page fans which throw us a bit of support, as many of us often have yours) Ah! that feels much better. Well first off I have very few ties to Page any longer for that matter I have few ties to Indy who I have supported for past several years. As far as coaches at Page I wouldn't have those answers for you. I am actively trying to keep ours at Indy from parents who believe their child is the next Brett Farve. Speaking of coaches I have heard rumors that O'Connor has been floating his name around at a few places. Looks like he is trying to get while the Gettin is good. Doesn't surprise me. Not for sure about JV or what you are talking about? For the record I am rooting for you all this week. And I also read the paper about Wallace and think it is a shame he is not getting more looks. I do predict that there will be a lot of schools looking to pat Giles back next year for the crimes of the past couple.

I have never seen so many parents living their lives through their kids than what I have seen at Giles all year long. Truly is sad to see. I really feel for those boys. What is worse what are you going to do next year when Giles is down again?

This discussion has become a joke. Ravenwood will beat Page by 10. I am saying 17-7. I still love the Patriots but some of the fans have become rediculous. Rapters were without several key players including 2 O-Lneman. No way Page competes in this game. I wish them all the luck but way outmatched here.

You all kill me. We give the best 6A team in the state a good run for their money i.e. leading at halftime then we make some mistakes and lose and the whole program is in shambles. I didn't here these guys on here last week after the victory. Where were you all. You are negative. You are a cancer to the team. You show very little support. You pile on when things are going bad. Unfortunately all these trait you probably passed on to your children. This is not Rec League, we don't care how good you all think your kids are, and we are tired of hearing the whining and crying. If you are not going to SUPPORT the team this please start your own threads and talk amongst yourselfs. Living in a world of self pity and the poor little oh me syndrom is getting old. I guess I don't see what maxclax said wrong? Didn't just express his opinion that Indy is going to roll tonight? I don't think they will roll but would not be surprised with a victory. Indy is very big up front and should be able to stop the run. Unless they are a whole lot softer than I think they should be o.k. Also the X factor is Bennett's defense. The way he stunts and brings heat the D lineman don't have to be dominating. Indy is much bigger than Ensworth so Oakland may be the team having a hard time holding up to the run. Just an opinion Prediction Oakland by 6 (and boy do I hope I am wrong) Looking forward to an exciting Defensive game. By the way after this one we may be wishing for more passing

Where are the whiners and cryers who always bad mouth Eubanks and Heckman? Good job on the win (as I predicted earlier this summer haha) Seigal was much more down than what I have been reading. Their QB was terrible. Now for Oakland. I think we have a shot at winning this as well. D will be the key. Looking around the district Hillsboro looks to be way down and Franklin looks to be way down. They almost lost to a BGA team that is very subpar. District could be a little weaker this year which bolds well for Indy getting into the playoffs. And you know the old saying once you are in anything can happen.

Indyfbman and HSfbman glad to see you all supporters of the program would hate to see what you would have to say if you didn't support the team. You all are rediculous. HSfb you are flat out rediculous to set around and bad mouth a high school kid. You don't have to agree with a coach but to stay on a kid is rediculous. Indy beat Page 2-0. Short pass to Ty that turned into a long TD. Should have been tackled but Page player missed the stop. Don't believe he played again after that. Heckman scored on the last series. Both teams made a lot of mistakes. It was a weird set up for a scrimmage. Both teams ran some plays then went to middle of the field and then scrimmaged in a game situation. Biggest concern for Indy was turnovers. If it had been a true game situation scrimmage Page might have won since Indy turned the ball over at least 5 times to Page's 1. Page is unreal small up front and Indy is incredibly big. I think Eubanks is using his personel to its fullest as they looked well coached. Not thrilled about the wing T stuff but our personel fits it. Still concerned about our speed. As for Page they looked horrible offensively. They need a lot of work. Their guys seemed to not go all out all the time. May be cause they are so young but still needs to play whistle to whistle. Anxious to see Indy versus higher level of competition. They looked solid against Station Camp last night. Much improved from last week.

He is by far the best D coordinator in the area. He will run a 4-3 defense and bring heat just about every play. He gives the players a lot of freedom to call there own blitzes. Indy's D just got a heck of a lot better. This a good hire for Eubanks.

You can't run the ball without an O-line. Plain and simple. Eubanks does an outstanding job and because your boy doesn't get the ball or get to play you get on here and whine. It is easy to see why so many of our players are nothing but a bunch of crybaby punks. They have parents like you setting the example. Look at the last game for example. Parents throwing bottles from the stands, cursing at the coaching, etc. etc. If I was Eubanks I would look at tape and try and catch whoever was throwing the bottles. Then they would never attend another IHS sporting event. Then I would take some of the ones stirring up trouble like the little middle school aide Dawn and family (think is her name) and they wouldn't be welcomed anywhere near the program. I guess everyone was happy with Smith when he was such an overbearing jerk that broke the rules and brought outside players in that had no link to the community. Coach I have very little ties to the program anymore not even Heritage but you are doing a fine job and doing it legally and with class. I hope our players do not get on this board a read this junk. I am excited about next year and if anyone has any info on how the guys are doing in the weightroom I would be interested to hear. Also are we scrimmaging anyone anycount?

Dude to claim yourself to be a Christian your attitude stinks. To be making such a big deal over private schools versus public is rediculous. Get a life man. Let me put it in more simplistic terms there are no "rich boys" or "poor boys" Everyone is dealt a different hand but one thing never changes and that is we are all children and equal in the eyes of God. I do not mean to be smart elic in this post I get fired up about my team as well but if you are a Christian as you claim to be and I have no reason to doubt you then shouldn't we behave like one?

I am difinitly not a DL fan but they are a class act and their coaches probably prefer to play teams that show equal class. By the way do you feel that? shake, shake,shake..................shake,shake,shake That should refresh all of Giles Co about what I am saying about class.

Sounds to me like you all got a little taste of what Page got at Giles the week before. Truth be known if officiating was done fairly the week before Page would have been playing DL not Giles.

Well I haven't posted on here in quite some time mainly because of being to busy and teid up in other things. I have seen Indy play 2-3 times this year and here is my take. First the coaching, I think Eubanks is a descent coach but the others on his staff are subpar at best. Everytime you see one of the coaches and talk football all they can talk about is last years state championship game. I really believe that this group of seniors have been done an injustice because they haven't been given the same guidance as the seniors from last year. Lets look at last year. I made a statement last year that everyone jumped on me and bashed me for. I said that last years group was still Scott Smith's team and Eubanks real challenge would come this year. Weeeelllllll one year later and??? I am no way a Smith supporter mind you I can't stand the guy but he did build and mold that team. As for going to the title game lets take a look. 1) The region was way down last year. 2) The region they play in the first 3 rounds is garbage. 3) The best safety in the league last year let a pass slip through his hands and fall right into the hands of a Indy player on the ground. 4) Millington was up 21-0 and let Indy come back. No team worth any thing should ever let that happen. 5) We saw in the championship game that they didn't deserve to be there. Now coaches those are the facts and yes you got there but move on. I still question whether Eubanks and this staff can mold and develop team chemistry and the athletes it takes to win consistently. It is easy to win with seasoned 4 year starters but building from that success is much tougher Now to this year's talent. Indy has a ton of speed probably more than anyone else in the region. it just hasn't showed on the field. The way Indy has thrown the ball you can easily make a run game. They have good size up front and good speed in the back field. So maybe just maybe it could be coaching or even the run system. Do they run the zone or is it more man or option? I think Eubanks is a good coach maybe not ready for 5A football at this point in his career but none the less he was hired and now we need to get behind him. That starts with him getting top notch coaches for the program. He is the guy the communikty wanted and now the community is turning like a bunch of wolves. If I am not mistaken he threw the ball all over the field at Heritage so the "community" knew what they were getting. Maybe he just doesn't understand the run game the way he needs to and needs to bring in someone that understands it a little better. (that would take swallowing some pride but just a thought)

An inexperienced Indy team? Are you nuts. WE have 26 seniors that have played every snap together since freshman. We were not inexperienced that is an excuse. Next year we can use that excuse as we will be very down for a year or 2 but not Saturday. Let me state a few facts. All I can say is that I saw Indy play 4 of the 5 playoff games with Millington being the exception. When we played Gallatin and Antioch it was like watching a junior varsity team play agaist my Eagles. Those teams were absolutelu terrible. Now I would like to think that Indy had a lot to do with that but who knows. Maybe we were lucky to be in the State Championship game but to get there it takes a little luck at times. As for Smryna they could have beaten us by 60 the way we played. But you know what when all said and done we were 1 of 2 teams playing in the end.

Guys Guys Guys. Listen it is time for both sides to be real. I saw the Gallitan and Antioch teams and they may have been the worst teams Indy has played this year. They were absolutely horrible. Had some speed but no line. In the trenches is were this game will be won and Indy has much better linemen than Millington. I have not seen Millington play but every year there is a pretender from the west. Never a true contender. Millington will get beat and rather easily. 5A is very week this year. But Indy is the best of 5A. Franklin was very young and probably should have won last week but they didn't. Seems like destiny is on Indy's side. Next year there will be another pretender come from the West and Next year they will fall as well. Millington yes you are 13-0 but against what would be a Freshman schedule in middle TN. Centennial would be 13-0 if they played in the West. This is Indy's only chance and the coaches know that. So look for something special Friday

It is very simple. Indy is not a "lil ole me" team. If you would have asked anyone at the school including every single coach before the season started and they would have said they should win state. These guys have played together since Freshman and a varity schedule since 10th grade. They have 20-25 seniors. The coaches have stated and know that this is their one shot to win a state championship game. Next year will be a down year but as for Friday make no mistake about it Indy is coming to an overrated Millington with one exectation and that is to win. Everyone knows that once you get West of Nashville the level of football goes way down. My prediction? Indy 31 Millington 14

Herzog is the defensive coordinator at Page or Ravenwood I think. Forget which one. After reading these posts it sounds like Spring Hill is living in the past. The players from the 80's and 90's are gone and it is time for them to either support the program and quit living in past. Tis is about the future not the 80's/90's. These kids do NOT care what happened in the 90's and definitly the 80's. It is time for them to start their own memories and program and for that I think SPring Hill needs a young coach with enthusiasm. Yes these older coaches are good but it just sounds like most of you Spring Hill guys just want them because they were great coaches when you were there, they will make them tough, bring back discipline. Come on guys quit living in the past and move on. Get someone relativly young that is going to excite these kids and go with it. There are some coaches that are dimonds in the rough in that area. I am an outsider and I support Independence so neither one effects me. Just an opinion. By the way there are a lot of good coaches living in Spring Hill area that work for Williamson County schools. The staff at Independence all of them live in Spring Hill. Several on staff at Page live in Spring Hill. Coach at Hillsboro does live in Spring Hill but he would be nuts to leave Hillsboro.(still not sure how good he is 4A is very weak)
