Temple needs to come out to win- no excuses- who cares if the ball is wet-throw it well- who cares if you have 19 players- play till you die- No excuses- play hard-and play smart- Temple will win if they don't make any HUGE mistakes- like they did against valley- temple has 1 chance to beat witwell- excuses will just lead to you getting beat again....

the next two games will be tough ones for temple...of course they aren't looking past whitwell....but now is the time for them to prove to everyone that they are a good team. Whitwell will be tough and temple knows it, but I believe they are ready. I won't make a prediction of who will win, but I know if temple is pumped up and ready and they avoid any injuries or cramps, then they can come out with the win.

i can honestly say that this game will not be a blow out for either team. It will definitely be close. If temple slacks off at all then it could be a blow out, but if they play with all they have, which i am definite they will, then they will keep it close and may even come home with a W.

I pray both teams will stay safe.

Bigbody,Sessie,Justin,FatRandy,Cbass,DeeBone, Joey Skogen - ya'll deserve this win! You guys are great leaders and have battled injuries. I know you guys can finish off the rest of the regular season with no losses.

Shout out to Manager Taylor

Seth Wadley, feel better man! I hope that hand gets better

James McFeelmie - don't miss any field goals! Peace!

I think the winner will be the team with the least mistakes. Even though the rain might be gone, it will still be wet. Personally, I don't think that will stop Smithson from throwing or that good receiver from catching. I do see Whitwell producing some numbers on the ground against Temple though. My pick:

Whitwell- 28

Temple 21

The game was closer than the final score shows. Temple had the opportunity to get the win but couldn't capitalize when in the red zone a few times. Whitwell played a solid game and did what they had to do to win. There were some bad play calls made by Temple in some crucial situations, but I'm not going to cry about it now.

Congrats to Whitwell on their win and keep your heads up Temple and win the rest of your games.

Temple did have some opportunities- and did not capitalize- witwell had some good defensive stands- - but oldtime-are you saying that there were bad play calls b/c that is what you (being completely ignorant about football ) think- or b/c the coaches told you they made some bad calls- and I really am asking- but just a warning- don't criticize what you know nothing about- I am pretty sure everyone on temples sideline was trying as hard as they could to win...

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
