they'll probably be the best in metro this year but they need the twins (Ryan and Joseph Lee) to step up. I don't know if they can win without them.

They don't really need the twins to be successful. All they really need is the big four to step up and play. (Jordan, Peters, Graham, and Rouse)

Ive heard they have the complete team Demonte Harper is now 6'4 and he can jump out the gym, and by the way they did beat Siegel last year without Rouse, Graham, or Jordan just think what they will do with there whole team there and I think the Cobras will do good while the football team players are still playing but the Cobras have a nice schedule with teams like: Brentwood Academy, Siegal, and a trip to Gary, IN Christmas Tournament coming up. STATE ALL THE WAY!!!

Harper is a great kid and will be the "x" factor. He will get his chance early in the yr. If he steps up they will be dangerous. And don't count on Gershom Jordon too much the refs usually call a million fouls on him and he gets in foul trouble. Even though a lot of the fouls aren't justified. Harper will have to step up.

The district is down this yr, as is the region.

It will come down to HL and WC. HL matches up very good w/ WC.

They did beat siegel last yr without those players, I don't know how they did it. But forget about last yr, because Siegel had a good summer. Of cource I hope the creek wins, but don't take anything for granted. Be ready to play every day.

I'm glad Nollner went out and scheduled a tough schedule it will pay off in the end(tourney time). Gary Indiana for a basketball tourney, Coach Law must be trying to schedule a trip home to get some family cooking, lol.

Too bad you are already concerned with the officials. I noticed there is an ad in the paper. Maybe you should apply and help straighten things out while there is still time. War Stars.

Whites Creek has the talent to go as far as they allow themselves to. They have arguably one of the best rosters not only in Metro but also Middle Tennessee. Dominique Rouse and Wil Peters are set to have big senior seasons. As are juniors Jamie Graham,Calvin Roberts, and Demonte Harper. The only problem that might come up is selfishness within the team. All 5 of these players can go one on one with anyone in the STATE.But as long as they play as a team and not as individuals they can do anything they set their minds too. Good luck with the season.~ J.Henderson

Don't forget that this a very tough district. It's a shame that you don't get any advantage for being regular season champ. Let's hope they can win in the postseason, so they can get to state.

UH, no question the best team along with brentwwood academy in the midstate. They murdered hillsboro last night with only two starters

Find me somebody that can stop Gershom Jordan in the post and then we will talk.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
