I posted this a couple of years ago when my son was preparing for his last high school game. For what it's worth, both as a parent and a high school football fan, I thought I would pass it along this year, too.

 

"This is an open letter to every young man who strapped on a helmet and walked out onto the field each Friday night for the past ten weeks ....

 

Thank you.

 

Thank you for the hard work you put in.

Thank you for the sacrifices you had to make.

Thank you for the heart and effort you displayed each week.

And thank you for the memories you have given those of us who are up in the stands.

 

It's been great."

To the seniors that are strappin up for the last time....i played my last highschool game last year and it made me realize how much i loved the game.....remember the old sayin "play every game as if its your last".....well seniors it is your last....Science Hill 4 Life #22

for the seniors that your seasons are coming to an end you wont realize how much you miss the game till its gone fight as hard as you can and dig way down deep and give everything you've got...make these playoff games woth $7 and not a waste of time coming to the stadium to see a blowout...rebels keep on rolling over these teams lets play in december go rebels
