I'll leave the band comments and Greenbriar vs. WH comments to the other thread.

Can anyone give a report on WH: Are their lines big? Quick? Can they throw? How do they compare Pearl-Cohn?

thanks for any help

Let's see.

Their line has changed over the season lots of injuries, the line is in the best shape of the year. Underclassmen have stepped up.

Throw? Uh, the passing game of WH is not a significant threat.

WH lost to Pearl Cohn during the regular season.

If you want the statistical rundown on WH, try www.whitehousehigh.com/football Week 12 statistics will not appear until tomorrow at the earliest, the webmaster is a very busy guy.

Ladd is a big part of the WH offense. It has been said all year, stop Ladd and you stop WH. Not everyone has figured out how to contain Ricky Ladd. Who is also a tremendous defensive player. The WH defense is peaking at exactly the right time. Lots of senior leadership on that field.

HTH.

On defense they have two, big, SLOW tackles, they can go hard for about half of warm ups, then they are spent.

They CANNOT throw,

They have Ricky Ladd, and a good kicker, thats it. ND's kicking game is as good.

Stop Ladd and you stop WH. There is no WH fan that can dispute that.

Thanks. Sounds like they are more akin to Macon County than Pearl-Cohn. Is that fair?

Charlie, are you talking about 71 and 69?

69 is out with a knee won't be back.

Defense has a lot of speed actually.

Better defensively than Macon.... And while there are many Dallas (RB for macon) fans out there, he isn't the same type runner as Ladd....

There is no doubt we must have a good defensive game......in order to win....

I really would apprecite your help and have ND take it easy on us..... We are lucky, you know.... :D

ND's undefeated Irish should make this game interesting. WH's #23, #29 and #4 will carry the ball. If ND shuts down WH runs and makes them pass, the QB #12 is "iffy" at best. Bounces the ball off the ground on short passes to Ladd, #14 Zach Wood is their best defensive player. They occasionally try to pass to #7, and most passes will be to Mash #10 if not trying to go for Ladd #4. Watch for Ladd trying to take you at the knees when he tackles. When he goes down for the knees, he can be hurdled. Baumann, one of their linebackers is out with injuries he got from Polk. The other, Gaines went down with injuries against Greenbrier. In a crunch 4th down, White House will try to make a team take a time out by having players come on and off the field for a punt, trying to confuse the opponent. Get ready for BDP hype and an effort at intimidation. They will bring noisemakers, bleach bottles rattles and noisy fans. Notre Dame's "wall" of a defense, homefield field advantage and hometown crowd will rattle WH's defense, and they will try to rattle yours with their bleach bottles. They'll put up a fight, but passing and clock control will be to your advantage.

Macon was leading through most of our game, but we came back in the last quarter to win. In the last few seconds of the game Friday night we also came back for the win with Ricky Ladd's run around the end. We didn't fare so well against Pearl Cohn.
