I think the Cookeville Cavaliers will be one of the top programs in the state the next 2 years they are loaded with some of the most talent in the state. They have 4 of their top 5 being juniors and the other member of the top 5 a senior. Alex Chaffin has the ability to go low but needs to find some consistensy in order for this team to go deep. Ross Gilbert the #1 on the team is just solid and won t shoot out of the 80s with the ability to put it in the 60s eevery time. Lee Maxwell in my opinion is the most consistent player on the team, he will avg. mid to low 70s all year. Eli Akers another golfer who need to find it and alson has the ability to go low and he doesn t hardly ever blow up. Dustin Thomas (AKA Chi-chi) has the best short game next to maxwells on the team he is an amazing putter, he needs to find his swing as do chaffin and akers for this team to make a run.Look for Cookeville if not this year then next year at the state tournament.

Thanks Hitter, I'll keep an eye out for these guys. Sounds promising for CC.

Is Cookeville in AAA because if so it will be tough to beat defending AAA State Champions Clarksville H.S. Their top 4 golfers were 2 JRs and 2 Sophs so they'll be good again with some young talent coming in. They always seem to reload.

A team to look out for next year is Siegel. They got 4 guys returning next year that showed real promise (Michael Horenkamp, Chad Wilkins, Justin Brent, and Matt Emery) and with the return of Scott Wallace off of the injured reserve, they have the potential, no wait, they will dissapoint most of the people on this thread when the next golf season rolls around. Watch. <_<

A team to look out for is Siegel. With the return of 4 guys that played well last season (Chad Wilkins, Michael Horenkamp, Jusitn Brent, and Matt Emery) and Scott Wallace who is on in the injured reserve right now with a torn rotator cuff, they have the depth and talent to potentially, no.....wait, they will dissapoint most of the people on this thread when the next golf season rolls around. The Cookeville High Cavaliers are goin to be THE TEAM to look for in 06' you can plan on them givin Clarksville a way better run than any otehr team did last year. But they are goin to have to get there first Cookeville is a very strong and a very deep team this year last year we werent able to do anything cause the coach wanted the seniors to play since it was there last year in high school but i dont blame plus you cant pic a much better five than the five we had last year except maybe this year we have 4 out our 5 starters goin to be juniors and 1 senior. The senior is a consistent mid to high 70's golfer about everytime he goes out but sumtimes u can find him down in the low low 70's our #1 player Ross Gilbert showed up well this year bein a sophmore and winning medalist in districts shooting a 4 under 68 and takin the medal with a 3 or 4 stroke breathing area and then he qualified for state is regions shooting a 75 and the in state he shot 73 the first day but the second day he kinda fell in the river and was out of luck for the back nine but our 2 3 4 and 5 spots are toss ups we have 6 or 7 more great players to choose from lee maxwell is very very consistent and one of the best short games you can find along with Dustin Thomas (a.k.a. chi chi) he also has one of the best short games and then there is Alex Chaffin he can hit the ball a long ways but sumtimes has a controling problem but wen hes on hes unstoppable he once made 6 birdies in a row and still shot 73 thats were his driver did bad for him. and Justin Cobble is also a very conistent low to mid 70's player and can also hit the ball a long ways and is good with his irons. So yes the cavaliers will definately be THE TEAM to look for holdin up that state championship trophy in the 06'. BOB CUMBY IS MY HERO!!!!
