Pickett Co. went to 5-1 with the win. They were starting to pull away when TC Capps had to go to the bench with foul trouble, and then York kept it close going into the 4th quarter. When Capps went back in, Pickett Co. pulled away. Brent Logan's 2 quick 3s helped to start the run. This young team isgetting better with experience. Thanksgiving they beat Unaka 64-52 and Harriman 66-51

how young are u guys? how many starters do you have back, and how many seniors, juniors, etc are on the starting lineup. i heard pickett lost some key players, but i expect you guys to be in the mix of things come tourney time. Pickett County is kind of like Unaka because it seems like they always compete for the region year in and year out.....even if they did lose alot of starters. Im sure it will be no different this year. Good luck to pickett county.

Snails you must not know anything about Pickett Co. this year. In addition to sophomore TC Capps (5 dunks this year) Jacob Wright, another sophomore, had 5 threes in the first game, 7 in the second, 2 last night and I don't remember his total, but he's as good of a point guard as any in 7A. he has a lot of steals too. Roddy (junior) is tough under the basket and Brent Logan (sophomore) is a good ball handler and last night his 2 threes in a row put Pickett out of reach for York. James Gibson (sophomore) is another good ball handler who can hit the three. They are all solid and Cody Elmore comes off the bench and is steady and improving. They lost all 5 starters from last year, but are 5-1 with this young group. They play much better with Capps in there, but there is talent at all starting positions.
