Pickett over Monterey

This was expected, a 68-56 win. Pickett was up 54-27 and put in their 3rd string...Monterey left in their starters to the end to make it look like less of a rout. Against the starters Monterey scored 5 in the first quarter to Pickett's 18, 16 in the second, 6 in the third and then 29 against the 3rd string. Pickett is now 7-1.

I hate when teams do that. I remember one year when a team did that to the JCHS girls and after the game one of the Jackson County players heard one of the players bragging that they only lost to Jackson County by 20, but they left out the fact that they were down almost 50 when the starters left the game.

Yes, it is the coach and the coach is being very unfair to the other players who practice, wait on the bench until they are needed and hang in there w/o much playing time. It is just the coach trying to look better, rather than actually improve his/her skills as a coach.

There should be no complaints about Monterey keeping in their starters against Pickett. As far as i can remember, last year when Monterey was getting beat by them by almost 50 in the third quarter Pickett put thier number one player, Joseph Bailey, back in just so he could beat the three record. If anyone needs to learn some sportsmanship, it is Pickett. When they can beat someone they slaughter them.
