Who were the 2 that interviewed Saturday?

We heard that the principal's house burned. That's unfortunate. We wish her the best. she obviously has more important things on her mind than hiring a football coach. Also, I wonder if last Saturday's weather had anything to do with the delay?

According to friends in the Portland area, the Grogan fire actually was the second round of a problem. They had a problem with the water heater in the home, nearly causing a fire once before and causing the water to be off, so the Grogans were staying at relatives and not home when the fire broke out at 1 a.m.

 

A neighbor broke through windows and doors to yell inside, but found no cars in the garage and no one that he could tell was in the house.

 

Very blessed to have been away, and our prayers are with the Grogan family.

 

Football is so unimportant and this reminds us.

Is anyone interviewing this Saturday, are all the interviews done? If all interviews are done, what are they waiting on to make a decision?

I heard they were to name someone this week or next. Who are the front runners?

Everyone seems to be about "rumors" on here so I will start my post the same way.

 

Rumor has it that interviews are complete, a few days will be used to ananlyze the information gathered in the interviews, and then decisions will be made.

 

"Rumor has it" that Perry withdrew his name......no details as to why, and this is truly a rumor. I think the Mark Wilson thing never was much to that, and there are some candidates that no one knows. So it will be interesting.

 

It needs to be done, someone needs to be there with the kids NOW, and Portland needs to continue with the winning tradition that has been put in place.

 

Word of advice: Whoever it is, give them a chance, he will be working with a young team as the second or third smallest team in the region, and playing in a tough region. Chances are that he will have a youthful staff as well.
