You are correct, Cami did quit the team during the super 16 tourney. I take full responsibility for what happened. After Monday's game, She was very upset with herself and as a mom I lost my temper with her and told her if she couldn't handle the pressure that maybe she shouldn't be playing. Her attitude about the game and the pressure she feels from her family and friends to excel temporarily pushed her over the edge. We had a long talk and I apologized for my rash behavior at seeing her so upset. She loves this game and she loves her coaches and teammates. Her coaches have graciously accepted our apologies and allowed her back on the team depending on her attitude. I can't thank them enough! Cami and I also apologize to the team for letting them down. Maybe she doesn't deserve this second chance, as I am sure some people will say. But, we are all human and make rash decisions. Her mind set now is to be there for the team 100% even if she has to sit out the rest of the year. I hope this puts to rest any rumors that are flying around and remember, she's still just a kid.

Hats off to momofcami and Cami! We need more like the two of you. Players to care enough about something (everybody needs to care about something!) and parents to keep things in perspective. Keep up the good work!

Just what we need, some negative fool to put everyone down but themselves and their team. If you don't like someone, keep your mouth shut about it. All of your posts are very negative and makes you look bad for it. Grow up and get outside once in a while.

I got to chime my 2 cents worth. Need more like the two of you ??.....sounds to me like if a player "cares enough" they wouldn't QUIT when the going gets tough. And it sounds to me like if the parent "keeps things in perspective" then the player wouldn't have quit. Maybe I am just dyslexic and am reading thangs backwards.....

Be careful what you predict LC, If Morgan uses his bench with the right mix of 10 good girls our fab five will have thier toungs dragging the floor by the 3rd qtr. In thier previous match up I noticed three of our girls walking back down the court during a Central fast break at the end of the 2nd qtr. Anyone going to watch the freshman play Central tonight ? I think it is here at Mcminn.

i have to agree with you. If Morgan does what he needs to McMinn will be needing oxygen before the 3rd period.

I have since heard that she quit during a game, but she has now returned and she will be sitting out 5 games.

 

I heard McCaslin will be sitting out 5 varsity games but will be playing JV.
