Yeah, that was like 15 years agao with Green...before 2001-2002, our last state appearance was 1991-1992...so youre refering to an event 10-15 years in the past...thats the only place the glory for Polk exists is in the past...lol, Im sorry I've upset you with the truth so much that I've made you resort to calling me names...but at least I know the truth is sinking in...and Central can compete with anybody in the state...in AA at least...and if you don't think Central was better then Polk in 1999, then thats your perrogative, more power to you...but my question of whether it was their boys or girls that won district in 1999 still hasn't been answered...

boys my friend, i your right, Polk chokes come playoff time, but this year i hear they have a new Offensive coord. and that they have plans of playing at Middle come Dec. 5

WOW !!....according to this mornings Chatt. paper, Central's district opponents have an overall record of 68-103.....NO WONDER they are ranked #1 in the state. I guess they will add some more "HARDWARE" to that bulging trophy case.

First of all let me say that Coach Davis from Polk is a good coach and his numbers will prove it. The reason he struggles now is because he doesnt exactly have the atheletes that Central has. If he coached at Central there would be no change as far as success, WE WOULD STILL BE WINNING. As far as other teams in the disrict not cheering for Central, NEWSFLASH- WE DONT CARE!!!!! Central has always been the team that everbody wants to beat. Thats good because that means Central is DOMINATING 5AA in basketball and we dont need support from any body else! I find it funny that a person from Polk would say our basketball teams choke at the state tourney when their beloved football team CHOKES every year in the 1st game of the playoffs. As far as the Aaron Green Sweetwater team goes that was a great team. I would love to see that team and this years Central go at it. But if you want to argue championships, the best basketball team from this area never made it out of the region. That would be the 89-90 McMinn team when John Thomas was a senior and Ronnie Mac. was a junior. In closing, Coach Davis IS A GOOD COACHand the Chargers DONT NEED NOR WANT ANY SUPPORT FROM ANY OTHER FANS!!!!!!! GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And no, the best Basketball team in this area was the '93, '94, or '95 LADY Tigers, This years Central team couldn't even beat them. As far as the fan support goes, no one else really cares who cheers for Central either. Like i said, hatred for Central is widespread.

LOL, actually, no Im not the wa wa wa waterboy...I played two sports in high school and earned a few awards here and there for both sports...lol, but newayz, I still seem to have a greater knowledge of the game then you...but why don't you go ahead and tell us how many sports you play, since you seem to know so much about athletics...

Just read that article...that dude is right, at this point and time if history follows itself, the hopes lie on Grace's shoudlers...however, I believe Mitchell & Bolivar Central are very beatable, but McMinn Central would have to play the game of it's life...against Mitchell, the key would be to stopping Thad Young...if Central could do that for one quarter, they could get in Mitchell's head and make them think the game won't be easy...after that, it's up to the defense to do the job...for Bolivar Central...Willie Kemp & Wayne Chism...no doubt, two of the best players in the state...the key to that game...learning to play slow paced basketball and slowing down the pace...make Bolivar play away from their game plan...make them get frustrated...make them force shots...then, you have a shot at beating them...however, though I am an MC fan, I will say this...the poll should be:

1. Bolivar Central (2-time defending state champs, #1 spot until otherwise de-throned)

2. Mitchell (Thad Young, need I say more?)

3. Liberty Tech Magnet (Average height on the squad is like 6'6...scary)

4. McMinn Central (Playing great team ball right now, starting to really stick)

5. Haywood (Good leader in Jarvis Varnado, like Bolivar, love the fast paced style)

Yall won more then 12 games last year??? Hmm, strange, I thought yall made an early exit from the playofss...Oh, we have as bout as much right to talk about football as yall do to talk about basketball...just so ya know;)...hatred for MC is only widespread because everybody wants to beat them...I mean BE them...as far as basketball goes anyways...dont hate, congratulate...

However you did hit on a point that i was gonna talk about and that is it would take an ABSOLUTE MIRACLE for Central to win the state. These people think that just because we are ranked #1 we are claiming instant victory. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I even like how you broke down each game Central would have to play to win the state. However, I disagree with the Bolivar plan, I dont think slowing the pace would help because fast pace is what Central does best. I do respect your opinion and you maybe right but do our kids even know what slow is?

Well, I mean't they'll have to learn how to play slow-paced ball, to counter what Bolivar does best...Bolivar probably plays fast-paced better then anybody in the state in AA...but you're right, we know the road to a title is comparable to running a Gauntlet...

The list as of right now is Lee, Walters State, Appalachian State, UTC, Lipscomb, UTK, and some others...UTK wants him to walk on...UTC, not sure or not if they've offered yet...not a particular order, just a list...

Well AA rules I am glad to see we are gonna qiute acting like kids and get serious.The latest I heard about Beau is he went to Carson Newman last Sat. for a visit. The theory there is he can go D2 and be an all american where if he goes D1 he will have to share minutes. I believe it will come down to the post season. By that I mean if Central makes a run in MBORO D1 coaches will come calling. He even said in last weeks Chatt. Times he would consider Juco to prove himself. I have friend who works with his brother at Denso and his brother said Bama, Cinncinatti,UTC,and Vandy are in contact very much. He even said that North Carolina invited him to walk on. In other words who knows? Ihad a sarcastic response for your 2for1 special but since we are being serious I will save it for later.
