Not positive but I am pretty sure Gibbs 189 placed at state last year. 5th or 6th so his style works well for him. FHS 171 came out of no where never even heard his name. Him and Karns Cole Lindsey at 152 both this years big surprises interesting to see what they do at Regions.

Sorry, coach couldn't think of another way to say it and not be nasty. You have to admit as far as body styles, there was a big difference. I missed the part about him placing last year. I stand corrected! Con grats to Remington Prescott and his coach. The Gibbs coach helps out our great sport in many ways. He has produced some great wrestlers.

I would have thought Prescott would get stalling calls at State. I didn't see him try too many offensive moves. It seamed to me (Being bias) that Reviez was DOING ALL THE WORK.

Yes, we were very proud of the FHS 171, Brandon Besola. He is a senior who has peaked at the right time.

Cole Lindsey another senior who has be waiting on JV over the years and now peaking as a senior. These are the stories that make our sport great.

BTW congrats to your 119lb. He is a pinning machine!

Last, congrats to the Webb program for running a great Tourney (except for the late start because of the computer cliché). I liked the way the finals were run. It gave the grapplers, parents and programs a sense of pride seeing their kids on top of the podiums.

See every one at Region 2 Tourney and Good luck to Maryville at the State Duals.

We all will be training hard to knock off the new Big Dog/Reb in Region 2.

Congrats to Prescott!

He's a great example of what this sport is all about. Hard work and determination. Living proof that you don't have to look like a stud athlete to be a good wrestler. Anyone that knows him and has followed his progression will tell you that they aren't surprised at how he is doing. Probably the best "student" of the sport that Coach Pittman has ever had.

Heck, he didn't even have to leave the state to get the coaching he's getting! Sorry, couldn't resist!

great job by my admirals!

hey rcpatriot, did you take good notes? the best chance your team has is to not even show up for regions. call me, i'll give you joe's phone number so he can give you a few lessons on how to coach a real team.

First, Good Job To All, Good job admirals You guy's have one of the best teams year in year out. But is this statement about not showing up for regions, something to BRAGG About? Other teams in our region need teams like yours and Maryville to make us stronger. Yes, we may not have a real shot at beating someone like Nick Rivez, but we have to wrestle those guy's to get stronger as a region. I know coaches have to do what they think is best for the team, just wish it did'nt mean that your best team is not there every night.

Thanks, Dobber!

Sitting in the stands and putting myself in your teams place I understand the fustration. IMO- our team takes great pride in winning the KIL and Region Tourney and could care less about State Duals.

When we use to go to the State Duals( we were 5 or 6 X defending regional dual champs) I enjoyed watching the great matches between the teams. ( I still go every year) Only problem is your kids take a beating and then have to turrn around and go to Region. If you have kids that are sick or injured State Duals are not the place to heal. I think the only folks on our team that have been to the State Duals in the past are Coach Knox and Travis.

I think the best FHS every did was 4th at State Duals.

IMO- the best Dual team in our region is there to represent our Region. They have a deep bench and are strong from top to bottom.

Farragut is a good Individual Tourney team when our top studs are healthy. You would think after the last two years folks would fighure things out and not count us out at the Indiv Region Tourney. We will see.

Last good luck with your 112. He really looked good at the region dual. I think that he should be in the finals but I will have to pull for Harless. The kids on a mission from God. (Blues brother quote)
