1. Bolivar (17-6) (2) Big week for the Tigers with home district tests from Lexington & Southside & the showdown at Belmont with Mitchell. Beat Liberty & Camden.

 

2. Liberty (20-2) (1) Bolivar seems to have their number but it won’t be the last time the two play. Could be three more times! Lost to Bolivar & beat McNairy Co.

 

3. Haywood Co. (19-2) (3) Haywood carries a 12 game win streak into tonight’s game with Ripley. Will it be 13 when they seek to avenge their loss to Liberty tomorrow? Beat Northside, JCM & won at New Albany Ms.

 

4. Lexington (18-5) (7) Tim Gardner’s Cats had a strong week but have no creampuffs left on the schedule. It all starts tonight at Bolivar. Beat Camden, Huntingdon, & Chester Co.

 

5. Dyersburg (18-4) (8) Trojans should have a relatively easy week before their trip to Alamo with the district title up for grabs. Beat Westview

 

6. Fayette-Ware (10-6) (4) Athletic but uneven, Wildcats venture up I-40 to Madison County three times the next 8 days beginning tonight in a 2nd place battle with USJ. Lost to Covington, ???? Ripley.

 

7. Lake Co. (22-4) (9) Jimmy Whitby’s club sits atop 14A alone for now but must avoid upset bug tonight at Peabody. Beat Halls & Union City.

 

8. Humboldt (18-4) (10) Explosive Vikings average over 70 ppg. & should score that & more on inferior competition this week. Beat Dresden, Greenfield, & Union City.

 

9. Union City (17-7) (6) Internal problems contributed to two district losses this past week. Gleason may feel their frustration tonight. Beat Bradford & Obion Co., lost to Lake County & Humboldt.

 

10. Middleton (14-5) (5) Tigers are not playing their best right now and it only gets tougher. A hot Adamsville crew plays host tomorrow before Manassas looks for a season sweep on Tuesday. Lost to Middle College.
