Smyrna is sending 6 guys to state. Brian Dedmon placed second at 125 to Shanes (Beech), Josh Bradford placed second to Bundy at 130, Pher Dedmon defeated Wingo (Beech) in the finals for first, Spencer Sommers placed second at 140 to Springfield, Adam Dedmon placed third at 145, and Robbie Helms placed second at 189 to Opio from Lavergne. Congratulations to all Smyrna wrestlers, and congrats specifically to Pher Dedmon for becoming a region champ!

 

Not sure how team scores came out, but I know that Beech won both 103 and 112, Mt. Juliet won 119, Beech at 125, Hendersonville at 130, Smyrna at 135, Springfield at 140, Hendersonville at 145, White House (?) at 152, Springfield at 160, Wilson Central at 171, and Lavergne at 189. Left before 215 match started between Lavergne and Springfield.

Springfield wins, Hendersonville pulls out second with most points coming in consolations & two in the finals. Beech nudges out Smyrna for third and also ran a super tournament. Great hospitality room and officiating!

 

OW wrester was Bundy and Wilson Central's 171.

 

Best match was David Carter of H-ville and Springfield's 160 pounder in the consol semi's. Carter is trooper!!!
