D-B's Mike Ritz has 795 wins, placing him 16th in the nation among active coaches and No. 24 on the alltime list.

 

D-B has the second-winningest baseball program in the country. The pacesetter is Cincinnati Elder, which started the year with 1,231 wins. Elder (13-0) is ranked No. 5 in the Midwest and has 16 games remaining. The Indians opened the season with 1,198 victories and have won 21 thus far.

I like our assistant coach we have here in Galltin. Coach Scott Hunt has been here and he is a good man and coach. He works really hard and has a lot of connections in helping players. He coached at Cookeville and Lebanon before here.

David Lane always gets his boys in Rockwood ready 2 go. Plus He scouted for a pro team a time or two.

Coach Lane is one of the best coaches in east tennessee and should be coaching college by now if not it won't be long til lane has a good college job because he teaches the fundamentals well and always has rockwood in the top 3 if not the state.

For those who aren't aware there is a coach in Middle Tennessee that will be on your lists soon and very soon. Coach Michael Wallace of Hickman County...this guy is young (2nd year), energetic (to say the least), extremely knowledeable, loves the kids, the game, and his job. There is no doubt in my mind that this guy has a huge career in front of him. His passion for the game and to teach the game will take him as far as he desires. I have had the opportunity to know Coach Wallace for a number of years and he has only become better with time. The best is yet to come out of this guy. Another thing about Coach Wallace that you dont see in many coaches is the RESPECT he has for the game and other coaches...he loves the traditions and life lessons in this great game, and he is truly there for the kids and values the role he plays in their lives. He has no doubt made a difference in their lives and will continue to do this for a while. It is not everyday that you run into a coach that is both a great student of the game and also cares about his team members, program, and School and County which he represents. He is a great coach and will be even better as time progresses. Look for this coach to win multiple rings and being the keynote speaker at a lot of clinics in the future.
