Guest Number8
You got any details? Catholic did really good, we played really bad. I hated the ride down there. We had no time to warm up. I Had a bad game, and i m just no getting used to the american style of soccer. Catholic used their opportunities, i had 2 good ones that i just didn't use. I failed to control the center and make playes which will hurt me in the future. I m not even worried about that game, the season is long and we will improve. catholic has a lot of skills, and they ll do really good this year, i hope to have a re match with them later in regionals if that is even possible. Relax 8, I didn't see the entire match, but for what I saw, I thought the Hilltoppers looked pretty good overall. You, personally, displayed good skill and with a little more time playing together, the link between Science Hill's mids and forwards will improve. You and your team has a great deal of talent and I'd be very surprised if you don't do very well this season. As for a rematch, that cannot happen since you are a AAA team and Catholic is A/AA. Good luck!

Thanks for the encouragemants. i thought we wouldn't be able to play catholic again, but i know catholic is going to kill this year. personally i played trible and the last thing i want to hear is praises. I know our team is gonna improve a great deal over time, and i said before our chemistry is what we need to work on. I will have to show a much better performance or i will personally leave the team. BigG
wow, any details??? I thought CAK played a great game. By my count we outshot them (although shot counts are most times a joke) but we just couldn't finish! We had 2 defensive breakdowns off of crosses, and they did what we couldn't, and put the ball in the back of the net. They tend to play a long ball to Rico up top, and they played the funkiest lineup... they had NO outside midfielders! They ran a 4-3-3, but all of the mids were inside mids. Once we adjusted, I thought we did a great job penetrating the flanks, and then putting it across the middle. I would really like an outsider's opinion on the game, because from my standpoint, I thought we gave them an outstanding match. Unfortunately, we are experiencing the same thing that Farragut is, in that we aren't putting points on the board. I came out of it with a little frustration because of the score (obviously) but overall, very pleased. Our possession and gameplan went very well. We can work on the finishing. It will come. Lose early, make adjustments, and win late. I'd rather find out what we are doing wrong, now. I don't mind being underestimated. We know what we have, and we know what we need to do. The scrimmage did what it was supposed to do. It allowed us to play a quality team, and showed us our weaknesses. We could have easily scheduled a weaker team and come away with a 5-0 win. To what point? Play the best teams you can. You might not always win, but it can only make you better.
