What has happened to the girls program at Lebanon. When Campbell Brandon was there this program was one of the best in the state. Now they struggle to have less than 20 loss instead of getting 20 wins. Is Dilligard leaving?

Rumors starting to circulate is a new coach in the boys program at Wilson Central wants the job if she leaves. Some guy that moved from Memphis, was an assistant for the boys team at Ridgeway that won the state last season. This year he was the freshman coach at Wilson Central, won their district regular season and tournament, as well as an assistant under Troy Bond.

What is the source for this rumor? There is also a rumor that LaVergne may make a change and they want Dilligard to come over there. I don't know where that came from so who knows if there is anything to it or not. This time of year there is lots of speculation and most of it comes to nothing. My advice is to take these kind of rumors with a grain of salt and just wait and see what happens unless you really have some kind of an inside connection to the situation.

Until Lebanon starts fighting Bud Brandon for all those girls who are zoned for Lebanon but go to Central you guys can't rebuild a program. Take him to TSSAA, if enough people complain they will listen.

As long as you're turning in Bud, make sure to find out why both the McFarlin sisters also did not play in their school zone. Isn't it true they live in Lebanon, and only go to MJ b/c of their daddy?????? Why is their excuse better than some of the Central girls??

I think Nixon and Christopher (both at MJ) are both out of zone, too...and approved by the Central office.

Jasmine is approved for all four years, like it or not, and nobody would even care if she didn't play basketball.

By the way, this policy applies to non-athletes too. There are many kids in Wilson County that don't play sports that go out of zone because of this rule. Call WBOE and see if that is not the case. As long as kid needs to take a class that is not offered at one of the other schools they can go there. It has to be approved by the powers that be at the Central Office, but it can be done.

Lebanon has "No Child Left Behind" issues too (or at least they did last year), which could effect all the kids that go there. Someone can correct me here, because I am not sure, but I believe that if their scores don't improve, it may be that all the kids at Lebanon have a choice in where they attend.
