The Siegel/Lawrence County matchup is a great time to see strategy matchup at its best because both teams play the same type game. Will this be a close game?

depends on if siegel comes out ready to play, but not over ready. i believe they were too anxious against riverdale last friday. i know after seeing them upset after the game, they dont want to feel that again anytime soon so they will come ready to play. bush will have a nice gameplan for them, and if they execute it ... they win

That is exactly the way I see it. Bush is famous for his game plans. The Stars need to Focus and Execute. Be patient.

I know I saw a lot of disappointed faces after the loss to Riverdale, and I'm sure it was upsetting to Bush as well. They should have won, and were very capable of it, but didnt. No time for excuses, they must move forward and be prepared for Lawrence County. I wish them the best of luck, and hope they get the win.

Thanks for the update, KW. There are only a couple of common Siegel, Lawrence County opponents. Both teams beat Lincoln County. They show LaVergne on the schedule, but I could not find a score. I feel sure the Wild Cats won if they played.

Both teams lost to Loretto by about the same margin. On paper, it looks like a fairly even game.

Siegel will have more size, but DCA plays a similar 5 guard offense and it didn't help Siegel to be taller. Siegel has decent team speed and they both appear to be fairly young with Jones of the Stars and Muckle of the Wildcats being the only seniors. I would love to hear more about LC, as I don't know much about them. Any Wildcat fans out there?

L'burg by 5 their defense wins this one

An interesting observation. I believe you are mistaken, given the facts. Siegel is one of the best defensive teams in the State, holding opponents to 39.2 points per game over a 30+ game schedule, while LC is giving up 47.7 points per game. Siegel is scoring 51.4 points per game, while LC scored 46.9. Siegel is the District 7AAA Regular season champ and playing at home, where they have only lost twice this year. LC has a good team, but I'll have to go with Siegel on this one.

Not mistaken by any facts. this is the tournament.... throw the stats out. Lawrence Co is capable Mind you I said capabable of playing defense with anybody in the state. I wasn't belittling the capabilities of Siegel. I saw them both play in Columbia's Thanksgiving tournament and from that, ....if Lawrenceburg plays up to their capability on defense....They win. They are faster..... and a bit more athletic also. But hey the winner gets Shelbyville so knock yourself out!
