Livingston Academy at McMinn Central

I listened on the radio and it sounded like ref's were just too nit picky for a game of this magnitude. As to the crowd JCHS played down there a couple of years ago and yes it was hot, and yes it was loud, and yes it was crowded but that adds up to home court advantage. If you don't like that win the region.

Well put jchs39! If Livingston had beaten York then they would have had the pleasure of hosting sub-state and would not have had to travel to get beat. Livingston needs to quit complaining-it is unflattering and makes them look like sore losers. There is a reason teams play their heart out at the regional championship-that's to host the sectional. Your continual fussing and insults to Central's facilities is low-class.

We are not complaining about the LOST! Both teams played there hearts out and McMinn Central got the better outcome thats all! The refs did stink tho! AND YES FOR BOTH TEAMS! and also it isnt the facilities that we are insulting we are upset by the way your older crowd treated our younger kids! Would you want some older person cussing at your son or daughter for cheering for there team? if you can be honest and truthful and answer yes then your a cold blooded, low down, sorry parent that doesnt care about your kids! all we are doin is taken up for our boys that where treated so poorly!

Yeah im about tired of posting on this thread. We aren't sore losers, I was just continually stating how rude the fans were. YouWantToBeLikeMe was right and helped to prove my point. Never once did i mean the McMinn student section. None of our students ever said a word to them that i saw. It was the parents....especially the woman that was mentioned earlier. Her actions and the actions of the McMinn representative that told our students they had 3 seconds to sit down or would be thrown out......now thats low class. any other arguments that you would like to bring up?

Could this thread be any less about basketball at this point???? They had horrible fans, who cares every school has them??? Focus on what really matters like....what about the way both of these teams benches played a midst the horrible officiating????What about the way both teams played with many of their players in foul trouble??? What about the way both teams shot well from the free throw line to make this a very entertaining sub-state game, a game that was played the way basketball was meant to be played, with passion and pride. What about the way a group of freshmen helped win a sub-state game???? What about Livingston coming back from a big-time deficit, which is hard to do in girls basketball????? Who cares about the way fans acted or what they said, it had no bearing on what really mattered and that was the game. It is times like these that they should throw everyone out of the gym and just let the players and coaches play in an empty gym. Everyone on here I would assume is a basketball fan, and if you are caught up in the way fans were acting then you missed a heck of a ball game. And this post is coming from a Livingston Academy fan.

Several times this season and last. I have felt like cussing.

Painted up kids would come into the gym just before tip-off and stand on the first few rows or on the floor all game long. IMHO just to be seen. I have grumbled and moved just to see the game, that's what I payed the money to see.

Why don't Educators or Parents teach these kids about consideration for others in a public venue?

Il have to take Wildcat324 defense here! Them LA students where sent to that bench behind your girls by a TENNESSEE HIGHWAY TROOPER! because they didnt want them standing in the fire exits but as i was told when the boys arrived down there a mother or lady fan jumped them up and down when they stood to applaud for Livingston's starting lineup! and motioned secruity to come over there and the guy from Mcminn Central told them they had 3 seconds to move or they would be escorted out of the gym! so being good guys they went down to the end and finally talked to the TROOPER that sent them down there and that Trooper let them stand in that corner! So next year i cant wait to see yall down in Hogeye Country we will show you that for 1. wat a gym really is! 2. that you can set and support your team where ever you can find room! 3. finally how to ask the TSSAA for a good set of officals that let the gurls play 49 fouls in that game lastnight is redicouls!!!!! and the end of the first half the count was livingston had 16 to Mcminns 8 i mean they did even out in the end but thats only bc they ref started to notice that he was becoming a mcminn fan instead of a TSSAA offical! not blamin it on the refs just saying they was horrible!

Both teams were in the double bonus at the end of the first half.

Complain to the school board about the gym. How do a bunch of fans on here have anything to do about the gym. Heck, I know a couple of the school board members personally, and I can't get us a new school or gym.

I was sitting between the scorer's table and the bench. I didn't hear anyone cursing the boys who walked down there. If they were told they had three seconds to sit down or be escorted out for nothing more than standing, that is wrong. However, since none of us were actually a part of that group of boys, nor were we sitting in the section right behind them, we don't really know what happened. It looked like they were trying to start something. If they were actually told to go down there by the county police, I apologize for insinuating they were up to something.

With that said, the fouls were totally evenly distributed. The official scorer's book was indeed handed to each coach by the referee for them to check it for errors. (I happened to be watching the ref as he did this because he was terrible during the district tournament.) The lady ref was definitely the best of the three. I haven't seen her call a game since we last hosted LA in the substate three years ago.

As far as our facilities are concerned, see my other post. I don't know what else can be done. We've been clamoring for at least an improved heating and air system for 20 years when I attended McMinn Central.

I agree. It was a great game. I had forgotten about the boys going down there until someone on here brought it up. I've always respected LA's fans and their program until I got on here and saw them trashing our facilities.
