What will the final standings be at the end of the year and the winner of the regular season district gets to hold the district tourney this year. The teams are Halls, Powell, Central, Karns, West, C. County, Clinton, and Oak Ridge. What does everyone think the seeds will be for the the tourney this year?

My prediction at the beginning of the year may be a little off from what I would like it to be. I had Halls in 1st, and us (Clinton) in second. Halls I still believe will have the top spot, but I'm not so sure about us. We started off the year pretty rough losing to Powell, Halls, Karns, Oak Ridge, and Central. This is pretty much every team in the district. We are now trying to make a comeback season out of something that we started. We have one district win (Campbell County) and the rest are losses.

 

We got Powell on Wednesday, and Karns and Halls next week. We are going to try and get it rolling back on track for us starting with Powell on Wednesday. Slick24 may not agree, but I hope it starts there for us.

 

It's still really a toss up right now. Karns and Halls appear to be leading the race for the top two spots. Central, Oak Ridge, and Powell all seem to be right in the same boat with about the same number of losses in district, as well as wins. Campbell County is probably going to be bottom seed.

 

May still be too early for accurate predictions, lots of ball left to be played. Good luck!

      2024 Mustangs

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
