I think you are wrong on this one. One of my players talked to a JV Bearden player and said they don't play till later this year. Don't know where you heard that one all the way up there at King. Must be some bad Chess team gossip.

I don't think this is that big of a shock. Considering Maryville beat Bearden two years ago and tied them last year. But yeah I was at the Maryville game and they really killed Bearden. Bearden im sure did not perform as well as they could have but for the first time in many many years Maryville looked like a much better team.

That actually says a lot. I've always thought maryville is a quality team and they are starting to prove few things.

Maryville has given Bearden and Farragut both good competition in the last few years. They lost in PK's last year to Farragut and have tied/beaten Bearden. This is a tough district and it will be a tight race. Bearden has too much talent to not rebound and get some wins. Good luck to all.
