to be honest the teams from the west want to play these guys quite badly and would like to see what we have in the west this year, this is the one year any team from the west can have a shot at state, so whether you believe it or not, they will do everything they possible can at state... they will play with all their hearts, because it will be the only real shot we have, but ya know anything can happen between now and the end of the season, so we will see at state!

 

Are u serious. The west cant hang wit the east. There is no way anyone in the west will do anything in state especialy madison who is way overrated. Other than houston and cbhs the west has nothing.

actually, if the west will ever compete with the east, it will be this year. Madison and a few other teams have a good a chance as anyone.

This is the year that the west can play with the east. There are teams in the west that can play soccer and will make a run in state. Madison Dyersburg and USJ all have a chance and Sheffield has made it to the semifinals the past 2yrs.

Before you lump all of us east teams together, please note that we don't all feel this way. We have great respect for teams out west, and have played a close game with Sheffield in years past. Don't let these other teams get to you. Play your game, and hopefully we will be able to meet in the post season. I, for one, am glad for success across the state. Anything that benefits TN soccer. Congrats on a successful season so far, and good luck with the rest.

naw im not raggin all of the east, just ozzie, since he thinks he can talk bad about madison, even though he has never seen us play.........but yea good luck to yall in the rest of your season, hopefully c ya at state

There is no way right now to compare Madison with CAK, ND, Catholic or any of the other East A/AA teams. They play no common opponents and haven't even seen each other play. I think that was part of the original point being made by MadisonLB.

 

Madison is something like 9-0 so far. They are having a great year. It also looks a lot more likely that Madison will be at states than nearly any of the other teams that have been mentioned, since a number of the "favored" teams will face off in Districts, Regionals and Sectionals. Some very good East teams will never play at Murfreesboro. I bet Madison is there. Then we will see how the regions stack up.

 

Until then, good luck to all the teams and extra luck to the Irish (the Northern or "Real" Irish, that is, not that bunch from Chattanooga)! :justwrestle:

yes thank you... as apposed to just pointing fingers and saying that the teams in the west are over rated when you have not even seen them play, this is a good response because you cannot compare something unless you have seen it!

I agree with hoya. It's too early to tell. The fact of the matter is teams that are having good years (i.e. Madison and Dyersburg) aren't going to be able to schedule the Christian Bros, Houston, MUS,etc. However Dysersburg played Ridgeway to a tough 3-2 game. With more results like this, these teams could find themselves earning the respect of top West TN teams. Hopefully it can continue and balance the competition in A/AA and these teams could potentially play the top teams in the West next year. Good luck to all.
