Who are the Top teams in the State?

Now that we're a month into the season, I want to get some opinions on who the top teams in the State are in each age group...

 

There will be Team Rankings coming out soon...

15 under i can only do middle tn i have not seen the travlers or any of the memphis teams.

 

Tennessee Tigers

Brentwood Grizzles- dont play aau ball but have beat some good teams

Nashville Celtics & Mid-State Ballerz- teams have not played both lost to the grizzles by no less than 3 points. These teams will meet up soon

Murfreesboro Stars- Celtics beat them in riverdale

Dear Memphis want to B's

 

 

U14

 

R U kidding? Memphis was 2nd in nation last year and will kill anyone in middle tenneesee we are talking 20+ butt kicking. The tigers 14 were second last year and not even close to big M.

 

U15

 

Last years Tigers - Elite team was defintily the best in the mid state what happened to them they are defintly not the same team this year. They are small and undersized what happend.

 

Saying that they were the best int he mid state last year but could not beat Memphis Bellvue this year Memphis will kill them. The rest of the midstate should just stay home. I would hate to see what the big M would do to the Nashville Celtics or Mid State it would be Nasty. As far as the Grizzlies go I have not seen them play... but I doubt that they can come close to Memphis Bellvue!

 

 

U16

 

Big YOMCA all the way Mid State will get killed by them the Thunder, Celtics definitly need to stay home and not take the whopping they will get if they r lucky enough to make it out of sub-state.

 

 

You middle tennessee people need to wake up and realize WE DONT care whose the best in Middle Tennessee... because when you play big M it is always the same story...

Brentwood Grizzlies beat the Celtics by double figures, and the game against the Stars was a good game, but Grizzlies led all the way and game was never in doubt.

 

The Tigers - Elite are two teams now, or they share players depending on AAU or YBOA. Many players on Elite are not from Tennessee, so you can bet they will be very stong.

 

In all fairness to the Grizzlies, they do not compete at the level of the Tigers, War Eagles, or Elite. The cool thing about the Grizzlies is that the same core group of 7 or 8 players (friends) from a few local schools have stayed loyal to the team, and the team has stayed loyal to the players. No recruiting, no soliticing, no complaining. Just good team ball, great post player, great attitudes, and great coaching. So the Grizzlies are probably the 4th best team in the state, and proud of it.

The grizzles only beat the celtics by 5

The 15 nashville celtics have beaten the stars so they have to go on the list. 16 thunder lost to the 15 tigers so how are they an elite team

Though Memphis has great talent and great teams, don't be so quick to overlook other teams in the state. Remember that a Memphis team did not win 17u state last year, and the Ballerz split with Pump n Run as well...

 

Memphis very well may have the top team in each age group, but it's not a foregone conclusion... In 17u, there are at least 6 teams that could make a claim for the top spot...

 

Blackburn, got any opinions on this matter?

Heard the Knox Cagers(formerly the Zags) beat the Travelers 16's by 20 at Smoky Mtn Shootout.....

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
