What is the word on the coaching situation? Is there any current news?

 

Its been very quiet as of late.

 

They are going to combine all of the schools in Wayne County (Clifton, Waynesboro, and Collinwood) and have one high school that plays 3A or 4A.

Lol that will never happen...there would be fights every day of school...plus have u checked lately were like the poorest school system in the state lol. But Rick Rice is the new coach its official...he told some of the football players and his kids have been saying he took the job.. :unsure:

 

"Fights every day" What kind of animals are you guys? If you were that tough you should have won several state championships. How many state championships has Clifton, Waynesboro & Collinwood combined to win in male sports in the past 50 years? I will give you credit that your females are tough but the males seem to be a little soft.

Thats rediculous. Our teams make the playoffs year in and year out. We have whipped alot of schools much bigger than ours in football, baseball, and basketball. We dont have the "Gold balls" but you can bet your "soft" butt we get the respect. :unsure:

You get respect when you win championships!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's why your girls basketball programs have the respect of everyone in Tennessee.

 

If you guys are so tough why don't you try adding a wrestling team? Then you will see if you are real men or just pretenders.

Lol wrestling?...first off u dont do nething but pin the other person down u dont really fight and hit each other so that aint really showing whos tough...and we do have respect in sports WCHS Boys Basketball have made it to 2 straight Final Fours...and Cwood and WCHS football is in the playoffs every year and both normally make deep runs..

Rice is doing Spring Practice at Perry County. And if you're talking about his boys (children, not players), they haven't said that at all. I think it's still up in the air.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
