Tonight I watched the districts at E town. I only have one thing to say after staying quiet all season. SHAME ON YOU E TOWN. I expected much better than the unsportman like preformance that I saw. Bad calls and scraming by your fans where out of line. I backed you last year but this wasn't right.

Where is E-Town? Which school playes there?

Elizabethton is E-town. I was just a little upset when I posted that but it is true. Their coaching staff should have called their fans down but instead they let them disrupt the matches. The disrespect for other teams have me wondering why I even go up there. It just amazed me how many times I saw bad calls. Where was the TSSAA and why didn't they have something to say when this was going on? Makes you wonder. OH well the big e lost my respect and worst of all they lost a loyal fan.

Heard Milligan College wasn't too happy about the Cox outburst after the match...

From Rick Sheek's STAR article:

If Johnson County's James Cox was trying to play mind games with Seth Wallingford, the Elizabethton junior didn't let the antics get to him.

After dropping the first set 6-3, Wallingford rallied to win the next two 6-3, 6-4 on Thursday evening in the District 1-A/AA tennis quarterfinals at Elizabethton High School.

"It was very long," Wallingford said. "A lot of deuce games. He hit unbelievably, and so I just had to stay with him throughout the match.

"There was some controversy, but you can't let that throw you off. You just have to keep pushing, and believe that you're always right. I didn't let that throw me off. I just had to keep pushing, but he put up a great fight."

The second-seeded Cox, whose only losses this year have been to Curtis Brumit, raced to an early 5-1 lead in taking that first set. After Wallingford had evened it up to force that third set, Cox disputed a call.

The players couldn't get the matter resolved, and after Elizabethton coach Danny O'Quinn and Johnson County coach Steve Nave conferred a line judge was assigned to the match.

Wallingford led 2-1 at that stage and increased his advantage to 4-2, when Cox battled back to tie it at 4. Wallingford then put it away as Cox flung his racquet around the court after the match.

This is Matt Hill from the Mountain City Tomahawk. I had to come on here and clear my name. I am not High Country 40 and I don't know who that is. I was wrongly accused by somebody of starting this topic and it was not me. Everybody knows my login is Dukie and if you look back, it's been a long time since I posted. Though I'm in Cox's corner, I have been friends with Seth's dad for a long time and would not post anything blatant on him or anybody else. I want my name cleared for this. I do see where people would think this is me, but I promise it's not.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
