Anyone know who scored for Catholic? What changed the game so dramatically in the 2nd half?

To put it simply, they played better than us.

Madison, we will play Alcoa at Alcoa and Catholic will play Carter at Catholic. Thanks for the kind words, too.

I thought Catholic played a very good, very smart game. They are a quality team. The second half made the difference, with the first half being pretty even. I hope that we will be able to play them again next week, but we need to win one this Tuesday, first.

Hey BigG. I fully expect to watch Round 3 next Thursday for the Region title. My sources tell me your boys played a terrific game (as usual) and tonight just went to the Irish. I'd say both teams will need to pick it up another notch to keep up with each other next week. I'm sorry I missed the match between my two favorite teams tonight. Good luck with Alcoa and I hope to see you next week.

I was told the other goal was scored by Ricardo Martinez, a freshman forward.

Wow. He's a freshman? He has great skill and speed with the ball and, as shown in the game tonight, a good shot also. This guy will certainly help Catholic a lot in the next 3 years.

Hoya, what is going on? This is the son you never had! Sorry I was unable to attend the game, I am still in Wales. I tried to post with my old name, but I am still banned from posting after two years! Anyways, who does Catholic play next? I am trying to keep track of all this while I am here...I still won't be back until the end of June, but I get to go to some of the World Cup. Tell the Mrs. hello!

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
