Who makes it to Saturday in AAA Middle Tenn?

I will congratulate Brentwood on their 3-0 victory over Antioch on yesterday. Was closely contested until Antioch ran out of gas in the second half. My gripe against Brentwood was the lack of class displayed by fans and players. In these times, I believe it was unwarranted for a parent/supporter of Brentwood to tell some of the Antioch fans to "Go back to Mexico." This was a harsh and racist comment, and the fact that he said to an individual from Bosnia just added to the fire. After this situation was calmed down, the Brentwood soccer decided to do a rounding rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner." While their coaches had nothing to say about them doing this.

The student population does consist of many nationalities, and yes as an educator at Antioch, we learn to deal with lots of different cultures. I was very offended at the actions of the so-called "upper class," to allow such words and comments to even pass their lips shows where our country is. Nowhere. We have not moved forward in any instance, the focus has just shifted from one group of minorities to another. How can we allow our children to perpetuate the cycle that so many of our adults have tried to break. Brentwood played with a lot of class on the field, but off of it, their actions should have not been allowed, and were disgusting.

Lack of class displayed by the brentwood fans? I was at the Hendersonville-Antioch game and came just in time for the national anthem. When I got in my seat, the star spangeled banner had begun. As it started playing, i couldnt help but notice that only 1 parent of Antioch stood for the national anthem. also the parents who didnt stand on antiochs side were talking among themselves. this really got me mad considering we allow foreigners to come and use our public school systems for free and they also get other benifits from living in this great country. The least they could do is stand and be quiet while we pay tribute to our country. I am also told that there was a moment of silence before the anthem for our troops and the recent tornado victims in middle tennesee. once again the antioch parents talked among themselves and crossed the line for me. I am personally glad that brentwood sang the national anthem in front of the antioch team. Total disrespect to the United States from the Antioch fans.

Antioch is no longer in contention, so lets drop it. They lost (big time) and so it's time to move on. Brentwood and Hendersonville are better at soccer than you are. Let everything else go. Honestly, soccer players and supporters are the whiniest bunch ever.
