Thanks so much to all who helped with the broadcast of the games. Ralph really has done a GREAT job on his end.

Congratulations to the Admirals.

You are so correct HV! The Admiral faithful certainly owe a debt of gratitude to the folks at Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church and WUCP! They have faithfully worked "their end" while Ralph was steadfast in his continued support of Farragut Baseball. We are extremely fortunate to have a person like Ralph to provide the many services he does and thanks to Susie for sharing his time!

Y'all are far too kind..... Just an old ball coach showing off on the radio....

It's good to hear from old friends like HV, Bizazz, SoupKitchen, and AD25.

Go Admirals!! Let's come back to Murfreesboro and do this next year!! Look for another celebration at the Ballpark at Farragut in the days ahead.

By the way, the team should arrive at Farragut between 1:30 and 2:00pm tomorrow. Let's have a huge crowd to greet the STATE CHAMPION ADMIRALS!!

Well, congrats to the Ads! They've really had a special season, developing as they did from a so-so contender in their district to state champs. Really a great job by Coach Pharr and especially by the kids to believe and to work hard to get better.

That doesn't change the fact that I kicked Ralph's butt in church-league basketball a few years ago, though. (Well, I'm being kind when I say, "a few.")

LCBorn, you're not exactly in exclusive company in terms of folks that beat me in church basketball. Did you play at Concord UMC? And you're right -- that was longer ago than I care to admit publicly. You've got me stumped now!! I would love to know who you are.

Hint: Faith LC, wearing the Laimbeer jersey!

Oh, yeah.... You're right, you did kick my butt!! Many, many times as I recall. Of course, that was back in the 1800s. :>)

Yeah, Davy Crockett was our small forward. :)

While you were always a competitor you were a gentleman about it, and I appreciated that. I don't mind an elbow to the ribs among friends.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
