I think Stone will be a State contender in AA....

Maybe not. If the football program is playing (by TSSAA rule) a JV schedule, are the other programs forced to do the same? If that is true, the basketball teams both girls and boys could have perfect seasons( no losses) and not be in the play off picture.

I think it might be more of the football having to do it because they're starting up in the second year of a scheduling cycle. Basketball could start right away.

All teams for Stone Memorial are eligible for state titles except for football which is on a JV schedule because of the two year football contracts.

The Stone Memorial football kids seem to be playing very good defence.

Looks like all the good post players have chosen to stay at CCHS and the better Guards to Stone. As I said earlier no State Contenders at either School.

I saw CCHS at the TTU team camp, they struggled.

I saw no baseline strength to write home about.

Stone will be a contender but don't forget, Austin-East, Fulton, Elizabethton, Cumberland Gap, Loudon, Pigeon Forge, South Greene and Unicoi Co. Schools with talent and (in some cases) a lot of basketball tradition. Welcome to AA basketball.
