Rumour has it they have hired a Woman from Memphis to Coach?

bbjustbb you must be one of those Parents who has their feeling hurt or you would'nt make comments that you know nothing about.Coach Wright good a Coach as their is, but with the Parents interfernce i am sure he is glad to be gone.

Why would a program of this high standard hire a Coach out of State with two years head Coaching experience and two years as an assisant? I was told that they had some of the biggest names in TN HS Coaches apply. This just doesnt smell right? OR way to take care of your in State people?

This is only a guess i would say Todd Wright will be the next Coach... :P

Bugdoodle, i have no horse in this race but, looks to me you are trying to pick a fight that you cant win Coach17 has been on Coacht for years and is a very knowledgeable person and most of time is very correct in most all of his comments. I have also been on here many years dont comment much anymore just read, but i can tell you, you have chosen the wrong person to try and shake here.

How many quarters can a player play? Is there a rule if so where is it in TSSAA? Like play in JV and Varsity.

LC, certainly has a problem with to many Parent/Coaches.Wright will fix this if they will leave him alone long enough.

Coach K has and is doing a great job with OS, my Daughter played for her for 3 1/2 years and never had a bad word to say about her and she helped her through some diffcult times as a young HS girl that had nothing to do with basketball. Also helped her recieve a a free 4 year college degree.She is now teaching and coaching herself and i am sure she would tell you she owes alot of thanks to Coach K.

I dont know how good they are but they have a post player who is very inmpressive saw her play a couple times over summer i think her name is Burchfeld or something like that big and strong and really plays hard.

Sorry but that wont happen she can play Division 2 Most of you folks need to realize how very hard it is to play D-1 basketball i dont recall the # but i believe it was something like 1 in every 15,000 girls make D-1 so try not to put to much pressure on this young lady i wouild be thrilled if she gets to play D-1 but i think that is certainly a longshot but good luck to her if that is her desire. As far as Kayla I disagree she could have never played AAU and still been where she is today she is just that good GOD given talent.

Jordan is good player but i certainly doubt D-1 she will have to really improve to be as good as Kayla. GO LADY BOBCATS

Compusatman, How many girls do you know who have gotten a scholarship that didnt play HS basketball? I cant recall any in my 30 years of watching so i really think AAU helps but my Daughter got a ton more help from her HS Coach than AAU Coach, if you think just playing AAU will get you in College i would re-think that. And yes my Daughter got a full ride. Most all of this is diffrent for each young lady but the only person that will get your Daughter a scholarship is herself.

I think he really enjoys a challenge and likes being the underdog, if you look they really didnt get crushed by the teams in there District.

bbjustbb, they are getting ready to get all the driection they need with the Two new Coaches I hope the parents can handle being told to watch and not to interfere just be good supporters and spectators or their going to get their feeling hurt. In my world Coach Wright maybe be one of the best three High School Coaches in the State if they will leave him alone and keep the drama out it he will turn this program around and make them contenders.
