I would hesitate to call Kimes a great player just yet. She has potential but she is often times lazy on defense and her shot needs some serious work. Her ability to handle the ball and finish with the left hand could also use some work. Her greatest strength is her speed and her ability to hit runner's in traffic (though it is not a high percentage shot she is taking most of the time and she looks very awkward in shooting it). I don't think Coach Smith would be the one to blame if Kimes doesn't improve, that responsibility falls directly on Kimes' own shoulders.

 

 

 

I think Kimes is pretty good.She drives to the basket really good and usually hits a left handed shot.Her shot outside needs some help but it isn't that bad when she tries.She has alot of speed and can break a press really good.

auntkim, you on vacation or something? Waggoner will be a sophomore this year, those two will be a good one two punch. hopefully they will be able to repeat this year. Always good to show others that hard work and dedication from others does bring great results. Forrest should have some good freshmen this year but can't recall any that would come off the bench and be able to contribute this year.

whoops......I must be on vacation or or not enough coffee when I posted...or reliving last year, sorry. We have several talented Freshman though in Beth, Taylor and Shelby and on and on as previously mentioned

Kelly Reed at Clarkrange will raise some brows. Already got OVC interest and she hasn't even suited up for a real game.

You are correct. Kelly Reed is a power player. Reminds me of Tiffany Kranz at LA some years back.

Paige Baechle is a freshman post for JPII and will see varsity time. At 5-11 she runs the floor well and has great hands. She's also a great kid. Would start at the other 3 h'ville high schools. Keep an eye out

Where did she play middle school basketball?

Paige played last year for knox doss middle in hendersonville and was the best middle schooler in sumner county.
