It's back to a road course this Sunday.

Like 'em or not,this race will be VERY important to a lot of the guys on the edges of the top 10.

Dale Jr. is the most glaring.He's never done real well on or particluarly liked road races but he'd better get serious for this one for sure.

He's just a few points ahead of Kasey Kahne for the 10th spot and a real bad finish Sunday could very well knock him completely out of contention for the chase.Matter of fact,depending on what happens several spots from about 7th or 8th to 12th or so could change dramatically.

On another note,Bill Elliot is replacing Jeremy Mayfield this Sunday & the reports are saying it might be the last we have seen of Jeremy driving for Evernham.Rumours are that Elliot Sadler will be in the car next year.I read thet Jeremy Mayfield's name has already been taken off the Evernham "letterhead".

Jeremy Mayfield was fired by Ray Evernham yesterday....

 

I personally hope Boris Said will win the race tomorrow. He's no longer just a "ringer" he is a legit Nextel driver(5th place @ Daytona).He's working to get his own Nextel team going (Sobe-No Fear). He really seems like a great guy in all the interviews.

 

If not him then Brian Vickers who I have in my pool this week!....
