Did cruze play QB at all, I saw the 76 yard TD from Abba to Cruze

I hope they pull some trick plays with Abba throwing to cruze behind the line then cruze throwing to someone down field, it could be a fun year.

Yes, they played both Abba and Cruze at QB in the jamboree.

He did about the same as Abba except he didnt throw a TD. I think both will do about the same at QB but with Abba having more big pass plays since Kenny can throw bombs to himself. I think the 2 QB system will do well, but if they go to 1 QB I think Powell will go with Abba since Kenny can be used as a threat at WR, but right now it looks like Powell will be using 2 QBs.

Does anyone know why Fulton wasn't penalized for coming over to the Bearden sidelines before their quarter last night. It was nothing but a classless act but it could have exploded into something big. TSSAA needs to address that kind of junk.

Farragut vs. South Doyle.

both teams kinda moved the ball. Farragut forced SD to punt both times they had the ball and on Farragut's 1st posession they threw a int. and then they had the ball at the end and i think it was backup qb andrew martland(not like the paper says michael lawrence) threw a nice pass in the endzone but it was caught out of bounds. and Farragut just ran out of time. Farragut moved the ball well... i thought. just ran out of time. and had a not so great pass. Farraguts backup RB had 2 nice runs both for about 10-15yds each. didnt really get to see alot out of Andre Sterling. couple spin moves but that was about it. i think Farragut shoulda atleast won 7-0 maybe 14-0. but instead it was 0-0.

I thought gibbs looked well against west, gibbs offense is a pretty solid unit. west sort of dissappointed me but when they needed to they went and scored. austin had some trouble with huffaker on defense but im sure they will turn it on once the season starts. webb did very well against halls, especially the defense. catholics defense also looked solid, but the offense seemed a little off other then harrison smith. i didnt get a chance to see farragut vs. south doyle but, not to be ragging on anyone, i think farragut has to improve if they tied SD

by the way, i think webb vs. powel will be an incredible game as usual. both teams looked really good in their quarters. the last 2 years this game has been a classic and it looks like another great matchup this time

SD looked pretty good against Farragut, considering the second string played most of the game.

 

its was a 1 qtr scrimmage.. you cant really take alot from it. but yeah i kinda agree but im sure Farragut would win by lots if it were a real game.

Farragut's first team only played one series, had they treated it as the real thing they would have won by at least 3 TD

West didnt play amazing this qtr but considering that reuben glass ddint play and the only time Gibbs scored was on a 3rd and 14 they called a bogus pass interference but Jake shouldnt have pitched that ball on the fumble either so we didnt play awful

It looked like Gibbs caught West a little off guard when they went to their double tight end set. The tight ends looked awfully open. West did do a good job though on offense by blocking down and getting around the corner for their touchdown.
