Video highlights from the Pope John Paul at Greenbrier game now up

Recommended Posts

Looks like there is a lot more size in the middle of the O-Line but it looked like they got a little lite towards the ends, would have liked to see rushers picked up better in the back field, but didn't see to many tackles behind the line of scrimage.

A few times the defense looked out of sink(I know thats the wroung spelling), but this should change through the season.

To many tackles in the secondary for JP2 on defense. A lot of this was because Greenbrier did a great jod creating holes and pushing people around.

Number 54 made some great hits, hope the leg cramp thing gets better.

All in all JP2 had a good first game. We should see a different team on the field Friday.

What about 55 and 53? What did you think of their play?

I want to take the statement back about the size of the line. They look plenty big.

53 did a good job on offense protecting the Quarterback and opening up holes.

55 did a good job blocking but about the only action he saw on offense was when a pass play went his side.

On D' 53 did well, but I'd like 55 rush the Q'back more! I know he had one sack and came close several other times.

Look for next week to be different. 53 had hydration problems and 55 is back in the starting rotation this year after being out some last season. Both are powerful. See you at Hillsboro Friday!

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
    • hey goat! how’s monterey looking this year?!
    • several people actually. they said “snoball, do you know who railbird81 is on coacht?” I said, “never heard of her.” they said, “you ought to check it out they’re getting fired up on there like the old days.” well, you can imagine my disappointment when I came here expecting sharp, witty banter and all i found was more akin to toddlers slap fighting. and what looks like 1 guy/gal talking to themselves with multiple accounts.
