"Not So" Golden Tate:

10 rushes- 60 yards(im so stupid, why would i think he would get 120)

4 receptions- 101 yards

I dont remember any big punt returns or kick returns.

courtney coffee didnt play too swell

FR dominated the pope line.

ALL AROUND GOOD GAME BY IRISH. GO IRISH. GO QB #12, RB #17, and OL/DL #66. I LOVE YOU GUYS

Congratulations Ryan on a big win. I appreciate the sort of sportsmanship by you Old Dad but what is the deal with your comrade 12 17 66? From the beginning of this topic I said I would be a good sport win or lose but it looks like Ryan fans are poor sports win or lose. Congratulations Ryan on the win, you needed it after the week you guys have been through. Enjoy and we'll see you next year. Good luck on the rest of the season. JP2FAN

JP,

How was attendance? Sounded like a large crowd on the radio. Lots of Big Hits it sounded like.

Ole Dad

jp2fan, where is the love? i show great sportsmanship, im just a little excited. unlike your golden boy, when our players score, they do not flick the opposing fans "the bird". now that isnt sportsmanlike, right? when we won, we gathered with our fellow comradses and prayed to our LORD and thanked him for being able to play this game we call football. i have not said one negative thing about your football team, i have just stated the facts. you said that golden tate wasnt the only player on the team, correct? you said that 4 to 6 guys could get division 1. tonight, i honestly would say that i saw 4 players that could go d-1. QB/BA #12, RB/LB #17, WR/CB #23, and OL/DL #66. congrats to the irish. and good luck JP2. you are going to need it once your future opponents get the tape of this game and learn the lesson taught by the IRISH of how to stop tarnished tate

Overflowing attendance....

I truly think we were out coached in the second half. We have other players that can play but the minute they do something Golden's back in there to have his hands on the ball. In fact Courtney ran the ball well and had some real big gains but then he comes out to throw or something to Golden. Don't get me wrong I love Golden but a good defense like Ryan will figure out your scheme when it is so simple, "Give it to Golden"....very poor play calling in the second half. I hate to blame the coach because he really has a hard job but when the shoe fits....etc. This game doesn't count toward region this year anyway...looking forward to next week. Congrats again. :thumb:

Yeah great sportsmanship! You really hate JP2 don't you...too bad, because life is too short...you really should have learned that this week. It is alright to be excited but really...and I will believe what you say about Golden when you send me the film of it. :thumb:

I've known Lussier for 30 years. He is the best defensive coach in HS football. Nothing to be ashamed of to loose to his defense. He will have a great game plan and if he gets some athletes watch out BA.

It will be hard for Ryan to pull some of the athletes that BA and MBA and now Ensworth will be able to get. Ryan does not and cannot afford to give full scholarships. If they can do that they will be able to garner some quality athletes. So far JP2 has not been affected by this situation because we are in virgin territory. There is no other private school in Sumner County (Robertson or Wilson)that competes in D2AAA (now AA). We can get athletes that want to compete at that level but that may fall off after a while if we don't have more financial aid to offer those that need it.

at least you arent ignorant

I am sorry you are ignorant. Go Irish!

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
    • No movement on Chester? South Gibson? Gibson County?
    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
