Siegel @ Lebanon

I was very happy with the way the Stars responded tonight. My BOY Chris dugosh had two BIG interceptions, one on LHS's last possession but we couldn't quite punch the ball in. Our defense played bend but not break all night and we're lucky Lebanon didn't have much of a kicker.

After the first half, Kiss seemed like he got into a little rhythm. I liked what I saw in the 2nd half. AS WE SAID, Lebanon got hardly ANY yards when running the ball up the gut. Montori played very well on the line tonight as well as Trent Miller.

Even though we lost, I'm glad we went out fighting...I know the entire Lebanon cheering section was scared to death. I saw some improvement tonight so even though it was a loss it went down a whole lot easier.

2p lebanon has a decent rushing attack and a less than decent passing game. Oakland has a TOUGH D and you shut down LHS's stout little running back and you should be able to keep them out of the endzone most of the night.

Good luck to Lebanon

Stars showed a little fire and a little fight tonight and that's why I'm not as frustrated before...We're a good team we just have to get over the hump

Yes Siegel's defensive front was very dominant against the run, Carlos Gaines (Lebanon's TB spent most of the night running east-west and he couldn't find anyplace to cut back against the Siegel pursuit. I have seen all of LHS's games & Gallatin is the only D that has been better top to bottom. But Siegel's run D was very stout tonight.

I knew the run D would be stout it was the pass defense I was worried about. We got burned on a big play at the beginning of the game which led to a TD...the other drive was just drawn out smashmouth offense from the blue devils but other than that, I was happy with how our defense performed. I said it would come down to Siegel's offense and how well it played and it played better than usual but not quite good enough

    • Well personally I see us going 9-1 so that isn't doom and gloom to me , Most people are thinking 6-4. Bearden will be the possible loss but hoping not. I was very impressed with what I saw this spring.
    • the kid you are speaking about, played in JV games,  2H half Science Hill game, split time in Hardin Valley and Bearden and that was it.   The upcoming Senior RB was All Region as a Junior and is regarded by the media as one of the top running backs in East TN for 2024 season. Scouting services have him as a top 10 back in the state.  Something aint adding up with gloom and doom. Maybe he was hurt and not at spring practice when you watched?
    • It won't be long now, he gone.
    • Are you kidding me?  You are just trolling now.  The new head coach's qualifications would be volunteer coach at the Oak Ridge Boys Club?  C'mon man, you can't be serious.  You're trolling us.  Anybody working at Clinton High School has to be like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs at this point.  They are coming after anybody and everybody that had knowledge of what was going on.  This is about to get real ugly.  Only in Clinton.
    • So no way they can compete with the likes of McCallie or Baylor still then
