dekalb county VS cannon county scrimmage

That was the worst display of hosting (if that's what you wanna call it) I have ever seen. I know, it's just a JV game, but could we at LEAST get some refs? Also, the cannon co. freshmen squad didn't have anywhere to dress. How dang ridiculous can it get? They had to change, right there on the field. Also, I'm not usually one to call anybody cheaters, but how many yards you gonna let the ball roll backwards until you call it a spot? That question is for the Dekalb coaches. Oh yeah, GREAT job on calling a fair game too. I give it to you for calling your own fall starts, but when one of your playes throws a football into the head of the opposing team, isn't that fifteen yards AND ejection? I don't know. If you call it a win, Dekalb had one more TD than CC. Funny though, no clock and as soon as you score the last TD you yell at your boys, "Line em up and shake!" Pathetic.

1st of all CC could have used the gym to get ready every other team does not are fault they didnt ask and its not are fault we cant afford a locker room for the other team..and i really dont remember who got ball 1st so i dont kno about DeKalb gettin the ball last and they seem to spot the ball pretty fair De

kalb actually called atleast some of there pentlies that game and plus its just a jv game calm down i know its important and everything but get it right before you start calling a team a bunch of cheaters

Dekalb does have a place to change, I have changed in it myself, and every other JV game I have been to so far this year, has had refs. As far as the cheating goes, when a ball is spotted, you don't just drop it and stop it when it starts to roll into Dekalb's defensive grounds, but let it roll onto the Lions offensive ground. The whole it's just a JV game isn't valid. Alot of them boys bust their tale in practice, to sit on the sideline friday. This is their time to play, so don't feed me the same old JV bull. Dekalb got the ball first, but I'm not here to argue back and forth. The reason I'm ranting is to prove my point that was the worst display of hosting and sportsmanship.

thats funny i have never saw any one get so upset about a jv game in my life...its just a chance 4 the younger guys that dont play much on fri. nights 2 get 2 have some fun...its not like it counts for tha playoffs or any thing...and i dont blame either team 4 calling the game over when they did it was gettin kinda late for a jv game and the boys needed some sleep before school the next day and also practice...and i havent saw any refs at any jv games i have been to in football and from my view there were coaches from both teams spoting the ball so...i guess wat im trien 2 say is its a game jus 4 fun...so get over it

 Well the last time I looked the Bathrooms were open! And did the team ask to change anywhere?

Dekalb has played in several JV games and Scrimmages. There hasn't been a Ref at any of them. But you were more than welcome to bring your own. As I noticed none of the CC coaches wore wistles. They could have been blowing calls them selves. I noticed 1 call all through the scrimmage. That was a false start. I didn't see any other call either way. As far as spotting the ball Talk to your coaching staff. They could have spoke up if they didn't lke it. I think your missing the point of having a JV game/scrimmage. It is for "Learning". These boy's get to practice against the starters all week. This gives them somebody at there level to bang up against. Get over it. Why didn't they kick the ball? Isn't that part of the game too? No extra points? Where were they? It is Practice, with a different team you can hit.

If it wasn't then the coaches wouldn't have been on the field working with the boy's every play. That is how they work to get better, so they can play on Friday Night's. :D

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
