I don't think Golden Tate is getting run down by anyone from behind in this state.

Then you missed the GP JPII game, and watching Cunningham run down Mr. Tate, or very nearly do so. If he'd had another 5 yards before the endzone, he had Golden, and he got a very late start, he's the fastest player I've seen.

I've got video of Cunningham on the play that he was after Tate. If you would like to see it you can go to:

Game video highlight links are on the front page

I'm pretty sure that it's the second TD for JPII, but don't hold me to that, but Cunningham was flying, fastest player, i've seen, period.

He's definitely fast, but Golden Tate was carrying a football and the other guy wasn't. You usually run a step faster without a football under your arm. No doubt the DB is a blazing fast kid, but the most impressive thing about that video was how fast Tate hit the hole and was G-O-N-E.

O yea, there is no doubt that Golden is an amazing player, but go check out Cunninghams 80 yd TD run later in the game, GP's 3rd TD I think, he was moving on that one too, they are surely the two fastest players I've seen in a long time.

Harrison Smith is the fastest I've heard of (4.38). I'm pretty sure I've heard where Chris Shiverdecker has run a 4.41.

I played against Shiverdecker in 2003-2004 when he played for Jeff. Co. He does have blazing speed and also won fastest back in our conference during the jamboree. Can't wait to see him run again this season for Alcoa!
