TN High, do not look past MO West. Theyve been the 4A team up here since the "Witten Era" at Elizabethton. You might think Im stupid, but thas fine this is just an opinion. Id watch out for South and Johnson Co. Yes, the 'Horns. They played toe 2 toe against South Fri. Good Luck to everybody. May the best team win.

Yes, they're in 4A for travel reasons. Don't believe me? Tell me where the 3 or 4 next nearest 3A schools are from Erwin......................

Thas true, but Elizabethton, North, Erwin, Johnson Co, and G-ville can easily make up a conf. Its not worth gettin the crap beat out of u in 4A. I would just rather travel and beg 4 a win if im Erwin.

47-0 i went and THS will beat MoWest and MOEAST if they want some D-B is the only game THS is worried about until playoff time and yes weplay south and johnson county but we could have beat south last year except a couple of mistakes and we beat johnson county after a rain out i kno but we beat them so we dont need to worry as much as we do for D-B and that is all Coach Stubbs is thinking about right now is D-B this coming up Friday its at the Castle i will be there will you? GO VIKINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

49-0. I would say the Vikings will win their region, but if they are smart they will take this week to prepare for South. There is no way they can beat D-B and even if they do it will not mean a thing if you lose in region to South.

49-0 and by no means am I a Maryville fan. Don't be mad at me because I speak the truth. I saw THS play 3 games in the '04 season and in none of those were the starters pulled even in the final game of the season when they are up 54-0 against East and still passing the ball in the 4th quarter. I think there is a team in Morristown that might have something to say about T.H.S. playing Maryville.

Soneone has some anger issues that must go back a couple of years. I saw THS play ALL of their '04 games and in the East game that you mentioned, that was the FIRST game of the season that the starters saw any action in the fourth quarter.

As for this season, there is still way too much football left to be played. And you are right. There is a team in Morristown, maybe even two, that will have something to say about wheter or not the Vikings get another shot at Maryville. There is also a team in Bloomingdale and Mountain City that will have something to say about it. We're not lookng past anybody.

Now that is surprising. I would have gone on here and stated that no way Stubbs would have played the starters in a blow out 4th quarter. Now I understand why so many Sullivan East letter jackets were seen at the THS @ Maryville game. They looked very content.

Yea... well guess ya had to be there. So much trash talkin from east before and during the game.. including racial slurs. That don,t include the cheap shots and dirty play from them as well. Were not just talkin late in the game it was from the opening kickoff. Did the officals keep control ..not till late in the 4th quarter by then the late hits and crap were way out of hand. Did there coach get control..NO!

Stubbs was afraid to put some of the Backups in for fear of really getting someone seriosly injured. So they brought it on themselves. As for the Maryville game ...well thats what happens when a deer gets caught in the headlights. They get runover.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
