CASCADE REMAINS UNDEFEATED

Well, we finally played what most on here were characterizing as a solid team. Final score tonight was 27-7 in favor of the Champs and it wasn't that close. Other than a couple of good kick returns, one for a TD, the Rockets were totally out-manned on both sides of the ball. They are a solid team and will most likely make the playoffs, but I don't think anyone that watched that game can argue with these statements.

We did have an unfortunate accident tonight that probably should not of happened. There was a lot of inconsistency in the officiating and had an earlier late hit on our QB out of bounds been called as it should, then perhaps he wouldn't of gotten his arm broken on an identical play a few plays later.

Again, I don't blame them for the kid getting hurt, but if the flag had been thrown the first time as it should, I doubt the hit which occurred 3 yards out of bounds the second time would of happened. I just hate it for Jacob and I want him to know our families prayers are with him.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
